Of course worth the visit but try to avoid Chinese national holidays. Otherwise you will stand at the queue all day.
If you come in Dec, not too crowded, we manage to take all the key rides without buying any express ticket. We completed everything around 5.30pm. The only problem is very cold.

For a first time to beijing this place is worth a visit. Though i cant imagine any need for a repeat unless theres new things or celebrations is happening at that point of time. Recommend to take it slow and really immersing your time on the architecture and the history behinds it which very enriching. The place is big, wity many many many spots for a perfect pictures. Personally i prefer morning time (went very early as the place opens up) if winter or autumn as the ambience is very nice, less crowded and somewhat comfortable... booking via Trip made it easier. Booked quite last minutes even that with all the vouchers etc.. its quute a good price and the process is super easy. And Wear comfortable shoes
600 years historic areas to know. It like walking in the past and thinking how the world is like. A place for kids as well

Great site to visit with incredible things to see! Easy site to walkthrough and very organized (even with lots of people). We went using DiDi and it was easy and inexpensive. Really recommended! Must see!
The Yungang Grottoes truly require a visit to witness the 1,500-year-old stone sculptures in person to truly experience their unparalleled awe. It's well worth a visit, and it's best to have a guide explain the history of these stone sculptures. It's hard to imagine that humans created such beautiful works of art over 1,000 years ago without the aid of modern technology.

some famous photo taking areas are not marking clear l,e.g. mutanyuan(the place of shooting of princess huanzhu) and got many tour guide around the main gate and inside the museum. it is bad experience of visiting if following the tour guide at their back
The mansion was very large and enjoyable to see. The garden with water feature was a highlight too. Some artefacts and displays were interesting to look at. Not all items were translated to English so visitors who read English only may find it less interesting aside from sight seeing. There was many tour groups there so it could be pretty crowded for indoor displays. The entrance from the subway could be confusing depending which gps app you are using. There was lots of poo smells during our visit, unsure if it was particularly bad due to weather and winds but prepare a mask if you're particularly sensitive. Some exhibits/gift shops seem to be loosely related to the theme but was ok. For the ticket price, it was a worth while half a day experience.

The main building in Jinci is the Notre Dame Palace, located at the end of the central axis, sitting west to east. This temple was built in memory of Jiang Ziya's daughter, Zhou Wu Wang's wife, Zhou Cheng Wang's mother, Jiang Jiang. The temple was built during the Northern Song Dynasty and is one of the representative works of Chinese Song Dynasty architecture.

A very nice place but it’s a place filled with tourist groups. If possible go in the morning if you don’t like to keep jostling for photo spots with tourists. If pressed for time or budget I personally feel can give it a miss cos the free springs like 乌龙潭 and 黑虎泉 which are nearby are decent enough too, and without the big tourist groups
Baotu Spring: The heart of Jinan City is inexhaustible boiling between the world and the earth, and Baotu Spring is flowing day and night. Three clear springs are like boiling, spraying thin from the deep bottom of the water, the water is rolling, crystal clear, as if the life and vitality of the earth are pouring out from the depths of the earth, and never stop. The stone of Qianlong Yubi "the first spring in the world" is on the side, silently witnessing the millennium of this natural wonder. Standing on the side of the spring, the sound of water rolling like boiling water, the cool water mist coming, the refreshing coolness dispels the noise, only this pure and powerful breath between the world and the world. There is more than a sudden spring in the park. Washing Yuquan is clear like a mirror, Jin Line Spring is strange and interesting, Du Kangquan legend is long...More than 30 famous springs have different postures, like pearls scattered in the garden. There is also a quiet and elegant Li Qingzhao Memorial Hall, and the Qingzhao legacy still exists, adding book ink to this beautiful place. You can cast a coin to make a wish, or taste a clear spring water bubble into the aroma, listen to a long charm of Lu opera singing spring water has already infiltrated the daily life of Jinan people. Baotu Spring is not only a scenery, but also Jinan flowing soul. Three springs of water are crystal clear, rushing, as if the breath of the whole city is lifted. If you come to Jinan, please come in the early morning when there are few people, and feel the constant heartbeat of this "first spring in the world". Its weight and clarity are worth your special visit.

Magnificent place.. very windy hence it is hard to mingle long in this area but it is nice place..
Marked as a World Heritage Site, Temple of Heaven is absolutely worth a visit! The largest building (Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests) is visible miles away if you are walking towards it (making it convenient - can close out of Baidu maps and just keep walking which is what we did haha!) We purchased tickets upon arrival, easy process. There were many people taking photographs but you can get good shots if you tilt your camera up or get lucky with timing. The park itself is beautiful and serene, making it a great place to relax and enjoy for 1-2 hours.

One of the most beautiful places to visit. The architecture and the environment has been quite well preserved even after the damaged that was done by the colonialist. The lake is beautiful.
The tickets bought were easy to use as we just need to scan the QR code on the day. The compound is really big is impossible to walk all places with my elderly mother. There are various food shops, snacks, rest area and souvenir shops available. Worth to buy the ticket online to skip the queues.

🌿 August Yingxian Muta Travel Review 🌿 1️⃣ Architectural Miracle, the millennium does not fall in Yingxian Muta, the full name "Buddhist Palace Temple Shijia Tower", built in Liaoqingning two years (1056), is the oldest existing wooden structure pavilion-style building in China. The whole tower is as high as 67.13 meters, equivalent to 20-story high-rise buildings, all of them use wooden structures, do not use an iron nail, but stand for a thousand years, it is a miracle in the history of architecture. 2️⃣ Cultural value, the interior of the deep wooden tower is beautifully decorated, and the first floor is dedicated to the Buddha statue of Sakyamuni up to 11 meters. The Buddha statue is decorated with a dragon play Jinyun, surrounded by dragons, and the number of dragons is as many as 2,000. In addition, there are exquisite murals in the tower, including portraits of supporting people, four-day kings, etc., showing the artistic style of the Liao Dynasty. 3️⃣ Visiting experience, more restrictions are due to the wooden tower is the key national protection cultural relics, in order to protect the building, only tourists are allowed to enter the first floor. Although you can't climb the tower, you can feel the grandeur and exquisiteness of the wooden tower on the first floor, which is still worth seeing. 4️⃣ Convenient transportation, convenient parking, starting from Datong, southbound along G55 Erguang Expressway to Yingxian Exit, about an hour's drive. There are many parking lots around the scenic spot, which is convenient for parking. 5️⃣ The tickets are reasonable, the cost-effective ticket price is 50 yuan/person, including the wooden tower and the Jingtu Temple joint ticket. For historical and cultural lovers, this price is very reasonable. 6️⃣ Surrounding linkage, rich itinerary if time permits, you can visit the nearby Jingtu Temple and feel more Liao Dynasty culture. 🌟 Summarize that Yingxian Muta is one of the three major Qitas in the world, and is an outstanding representative of ancient Chinese architectural art. Whether it is a friend interested in history and culture, or people who want to temporarily escape the hustle and bustle of the city in search of peace of mind, this will be a great choice.
Yingxian wooden tower was built in the Liao Dynasty, has a history of nearly 1,000 years, is the earliest wooden tower in China, and the Eiffel Tower, Pisa Leaning Tower, is one of the world's three major chits, and is the first to build the world's tallest wooden tower. The following comments correspond to the county wooden tower from different aspects: ### Historical and cultural value - Yingxian wooden tower has witnessed countless storms, vicissitudes of dynasties, changes in society, and cultural inheritance and development, carrying a heavy historical value, is a witness to history. It combines the architectural characteristics of the Liao Dynasty with the cultural elements of the time, and has irreplaceable important value for studying ancient architecture, culture, religion, etc., like a living history book. ### Architectural features - **Structural ingenuity**: its structural design is both scientific and clever, fully demonstrating the ancient craftsmen's deep understanding and precise application of mechanical principles. No nails were used when construction, all of them were made of wood, and the force generated by the outside world was dispersed to four sides using the principle of wood to guide. After years of erosion and many earthquakes, it still stands, such as the 1921 Feng Yu warlord scuffle, the wooden tower was shot more than 200 times, two columns broke, still safe. - **Unique style**: the whole body is integrated, each floor has a gold sign, written in gold, both majestic and dignified, the spectacular appearance, along with its legendary experience, fully show the superb skills and glory of ancient Chinese wooden architecture Just. ### Travel Experience - **Visual shock**: Many tourists will be shocked by its majestic momentum when they first see the wooden tower. Under the clear sky, the wooden tower stands proudly, and the tower bells in the breeze are crisp, making people can't help but use the words of praise to describe it. -**Cultural atmosphere**: Under the wooden tower, people can soak in its elegant ancient charm, as if time is still, the soul is baptized. There will also be activities such as "follow the Wukong to visit the wooden tower", which can stimulate the infinite imagination of tourists. - **Support and regret**: The temple where the wooden tower in Yingxian County is located is the Buddha Palace Temple. There is a commercial street outside the temple gate, which mainly serves local residents. Because of the age, the wooden tower is now a little tilted, and there are only two floors open on a total of six floors.
