The fully equipped kitchen features gas hobs and everything you need to cook and share a beautiful meal—it’s a space made with food lovers in mind. Outdoors, there’s a barbecue area and room to dine alfresco, perfect for slow evenings and summer feasts.After dinner, soak in your private bath under the stars, or unwind beside the outdoor fire as evening settles in.When the tide is full, take a kayak out for a peaceful paddle on the inlet, or hop on one of our modern vintage-style bikes and cruise into the village to explore the local cafés, galleries, and coastal trails. While the pōhutukawa trees greet you further up the driveway, you’ll still be immersed in birdsong, sea breezes, and the slow rhythm of the land.The apartment features two elevated mezzanine sleeping spaces—one accessed by a wooden and steel staircase, the other by a steel stair. The apartment is self contained with two balconies and BBQ area. It is suitable for both summer and winter with both log burner and heat pump, and is suitably equipped for either short or long stay.The open plan living area includes Smart TV and Netflix for your entertainment . We have fast internet connection and free Wi-Fi available.Please note the living area is on the first floor. Peaceful relaxing all we were looking for.The Studio is new and contemporary with polished concrete floors and cosy and homely, has a great tiled shower, it is tastefully and simply decorated and immaculately clean.French doors open onto your own enclosed timber deck, cook a chooky or vege burger on the barbecue and you're welcome to use herbs from the garden. There are 2 bikes here which you are welcome to use and a bike shed if you want to bring your own. There is off street parking for the car too.If the nights get a bit chilly there is a toasty warm Studio wood fire (which I love), very very cosy.The Great Taste Cycle Trail: We are just a couple of minutes from the Wharf where the Mapua Ferry carries people and their bikes connecting Mapua to Rabbit Is as part of the cycle trail linking to Nelson and the other way to Kaiteriteri.The Wharf and the village has a variety of unique shops show casing local artists work, restaurants and cafes fish and chip shop and the Golden Bear Brewery (boutique brewery) often has live music for you to kick back relax and enjoy. I want to mention too that Godwits migrate all the way from Alaska (11000km) to spent time with us and they come to our estuary which is at the end of our street. I find that amazing. At the end of the street is also a tranquil place to watch the sun go downSpecial conditions: Although we do the cleaning, we do ask that you leave the Studio tidy with dishes done.
