Everything fine. It was literally just a place for our heads for our onward journey. Basic and the pillows were hard. But it is what it is. We weren’t expecting The Ritz so we weren’t disappointed. It was just a roof over our heads for the night. Breakfast was lovely so happily recommend.
Could not fault the actual room, the pub itself and the staff. Room was squeaky clean, even with a cafetiere. Niggles 1) the ”Roberts” radio had a great tone etc, but needs instructions
on how to use it; otherwise as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike! 2) bedside alarm clock was not working... the battery was not properly installed. 3) restaurant opening hours were odd....closed until 8pm? Menu was not inspiring, a little confusing? All in all, a good place to stop-over....although clearly not aiming for the budget-conscious traveller....oh, and the beers were excellent, even with real ale....
