The location is easy to access and only 10 mins walk to old town. The hotel breakfast was very tasty. The room facilities were good and easy to control. If night light can be installed then this is good for walking to toilet without switching on any lights to disturb another half.

Had a lovely stay at the Hampton by Hilton. Everything was fine and the Hotel is in an ideal quiet location just off the main road, near the station and main centre of York. Only disappointment was the lack of evening snacks and deserts. We had to end up having a packet of Jaffa cakes!! Very poor, also no evening Restaurant .

Hotel room was clean and as advertised. Breakfast was included but quite sub par (same options each day with really cheap fried options and very faulty waffle maker and coffee). The car park situation is absurd. It's a 5 min walk and the validated price is 18.50 per day. The check-in process took far too long, considering all of my details were already included in the Trip.com booking. But the staff were friendly and helpful.

Expected more if I'm honest from the room, for what I paid. No fridge No Decaf drink options in room No coffee machine A unesecarily big TV, spend the money on some useful amenities like above mentioned- 4k monitor makes standard quality usual broadcasting look worse. Also no streaming apps available, and screen casting wouldn't work. AC temperature restricted to lowest 19°C, which wasn't really cool enough.
