Our stay at Hotel am Steinplatz was truly wonderful. The moment we arrived, we knew we had made the perfect choice. Check-in was a breeze and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished, and thanks to Miriam, we were upgraded to a room with a large balcony. Breakfast each morning was a delight, with delicious options to choose from. The restaurant staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The location of the hotel was fantastic, surrounded by streets filled with diverse dining options and just a short walk from excellent shopping. The train station was also conveniently close by, making it easy to explore the city. I highly recommend the Steinplatz and look forward to staying there again in the future.

This hotel has it all…. A history, a soul, charming, attentive and discreet service… Just a few minutes away from the station Zoolo. Garten and yet nestled in front of a park gives you a calm oasis to relax after business or discoveries. Amazing rooms with attention to detail and a top cleanliness. Great service by the team who remember your favorite drinks and table and look after you. Highly recommended

I have been staying at Am Steinplatz for several years, each time I visit Berlin (about 4 times a year). Over 20 years or so, I have stayed in a variety of different hotels in different areas of Berlin. Am Steinplatz has become my go-to choice in Berlin because it feels like ‘home from home’, with a boutique hotel feel (rather than an anonymous big chain), consistently excellent staff and a management team who respond well to constructive feedback, nice rooms, a good and quiet location in the West End and an interesting historic building. The beds are very comfortable, with high quality bed linen, and the bathrooms are well laid out and equipped. The rooms have everything you need, whether for a business trip or for a leisure trip.

Das Hotel am Steinplatz ist ein Haus mit sehr interessanter Geschichte. Es ist hervorragend und sehr stilvoll renoviert und hat die Bewertung als 5 Sterne Haus durchaus verdient. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und sehr ansprechend möbiliert. Das Bett und die Matratze sind von großer Güte. Ich habe sehr gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend. Alle sind sehr freundlich. Gerne komme ich wieder.

Sehr schick eingerichtetes Hotel mit liebem Service in Zügen. Leider wird man von den Rezeptionistinnen und Service-Mitarbeiterinnen von der Seite angestarrt, angepöbelt und muss abfällige Kommentare über sich ergehen lassen, wenn man in Ruhe seine Arbeit am PC im Foyer erledigen will und medikamentös verursachte Akne hat. Das wird leider nicht unkommentiert gelassen. Unkultiviertheit, Ungebildetheit und Proletentum, was man leider schon nach wenigen Zehntelsekunden bemerkt und leider auch das restliche Team unterwandert und ansteckt. Das trennt wohl die 4- von den 5-Sternehotels. Aber für das ungefilterte, raue, taktlose Verhalten kommen die Leute ja nach Berlin! Also keine Überraschung. Ansonsten alles super

Dieses Hotel ist wirklich eine Perle und würde ich als Design Hotel beschreiben im Stil der 1920er. Alles aber top modern und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Alle super zuvorkommend und man fühlt sich sofort als willkommener Gast. Der Spabereich auf dem Dach ist top. Mit zwei Saunen, Fitnessraum und Ruhebereich toll integriert. Lage ist traumhaft. 5min zum Ku’damm,5min zum Zoo. Also mitten drin. Wir kommen wieder und freuen uns drauf

Niché au cœur du charmant quartier de Charlottenburg, l'hôtel Am Steinplatz est un véritable joyau d'art déco. Dès que vous franchissez les portes de cet établissement, vous êtes enveloppé par une atmosphère chaleureuse et paisible. Les chambres spacieuses et élégantes vous invitent à vous détendre, avec des salles de bain luxueuses qui ne manqueront pas de vous impressionner. Le confort de cet hôtel est à la hauteur de sa beauté époustouflante ! L'accueil est toujours attentionné et aimable, vous faisant sentir comme chez vous dès votre arrivée. Le personnel est à votre disposition pour répondre à tous vos besoins et rendre votre séjour inoubliable. Le quartier autour de l'hôtel est paisible, avec de nombreuses places de stationnement disponibles, contrairement au parking de l'hôtel qui peut être un peu difficile à trouver. Mais ne vous inquiétez pas, une fois que vous aurez découvert cet endroit caché, vous pourrez profiter pleinement de votre séjour dans ce magnifique hôtel.

The hotel is beautiful and full of history. Ina a great location easy to sights and public transportation. Breakfast was delicious, with many different options, had gf bread for me, alternative milks and vegetarian choices for those who need that. The spa is worth a visit, on top of the hotel with views of sunrise and sunset, with beautiful facilities, great sauna and gym, even a small private room for a personal yoga session. All was great but the service takes it to a new level… Maria at the reception was always smiling ready to help out, gave me great advice on managing Berlin! My server at breakfast was also a treat to have, remembering my tastes and restrictions. A first class property truly, magnificent room, shower, bathroom all comfortable and modern. I will be back they made me feel at home.

I really enjoyed my stay here, right from the reception, to my room and to the restaurant. I was so lucky to meet genuinely kind souls in this hotel. The reception team (including Maria, Dominik, Anne and many others) were such gems. My room was always neatly done. The lady responsible for this at some point bought me screen cleansing towelettes when she noticed that my laptop screen needed a wipe. So kind of her. One in a million. At the restaurant, I experienced delightful hospitality. A slightly tall Dutch lady in her 20's really demonstrated her passion for her job and I was always looking forward to meeting her everyday. Her colleagues were also very kind and hospitable. Can't forget about the nice chefs too. They make the best fried eggs for breakfast. I have to commend the manager for leading such a great team. I look forward to staying here again when I return to Berlin.

Amazing staff and great rooms. This hotel was a great respite from the Berlin cold. We got a great deal for a room with breakfast, and the food there is awesome. Only wish the floors were heated like the apartments in Germany!

We visited Berlin in early November prior to going to Frankfurt to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play. Outside of the game, our stay in Berlin was the highlight of the trip, and a big reason why was the Hotel am Steinplatz. The staff was extraordinary, making this one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. It started at the front desk with Miriam and Ann, who made us feel most welcome in our first visit to Berlin and gave us excellent tips on how to navigate the city and its many historical landmarks. The 5-star hospitality continued in the restaurant, which featured a great breakfast buffet and a delicious dinner menu with fantastic service. The hotel was conveniently located to the train station and within walking distance of many of the sites. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. In a word, our visit was phenomenal.

Would definitely recommend this hotel great location. Friendly staff. Room ready on arrival before 12 noon .Would stay here again. Large comfortable bed All staff couldn't do enough for nothing too much trouble. Taxi from airport 70 euros .hotel location central. Bars restaurants nearby. Local supermarkets within walking distance. Yes, we would have no qualm in recommend this.hotel to all.

Excellent service and attention to detail!

Hotel itself was fine but the staff were incredibly unprofessional and discourteous. Hotel has refused to credit my points and nights to my bonvoy account and has refused to contact me to find a proper resolution even though the case has dragged on for 4 months. Called the hotel and spoke to Maria Fernandez and Nina Schultz — both of whom were incredibly rude and unhelpful — to resolve the matter but they refused to budge. Maria even lied that Nina (the Director of Rooms) wasn’t available to speak even though Nina subsequently claimed she was standing next to Maria during our conversation (not sure if both were lying). Both argued and talked back at every statement that I made (Nina even responded that she’s very busy when I was trying to explain that I’m very busy and didn’t have time to drop by the front desk in person to resolve this issue — unapologetically rude)! Utterly poor service from both of them who refused to acknowledge that they were unprofessional and rude — so much for being a “5 star” hotel of the Marriott group. Staff needs to be retrained (some other reviewers have also pointed out the unbecoming behavior of the staff at this hotel). If they’re not happy to work in the hospitality industry or not happy with their jobs, they should just quit, and not take it out on loyal guests.
