We ended up with Hotel Barromeo after a horrible experience at a home stay. The Hotel Barromeo desk attendant was very kind, and found us a room. There were only two remaining. The rooms are petite, neat and clean. The bathroom was modern, and had a spacious shower. Good water pressure and temperature. The bed was comfortable with fresh white sheets. The hotel offers a breakfast upstairs. It was very satisfying: eggs, pastries, toast, cereals, fruit, coffee, juice, milk. The breakfast staff kept the breakfast foods fresh and hot. After checkout the staff kindly let us keep our luggage in a locked room until our train. It was a very personable, friendly experience in such a large city. Very close to the Colosseum as well! Would recommend.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, and when we requested a room change, they accommodated us without hesitation. Housekeeping did an excellent job, keeping everything fresh and clean. Breakfast was decent — nothing extraordinary, but no complaints either. One of my favorite touches was the coffee available in the lobby, which was a great convenience. And of course, the location can’t be beat — it made everything so much easier to explore and enjoy. Overall, an enjoyable stay, and I would be happy to return.

CAUTION!! Lack Luster AC, Unsanitary room and showers. General hotel staff are polite and honest. Unresolved climate controls and mold that we had to communicate to front desk show the type of hotel and stay you will have. I would recommend looking elsewhere. The worst overseas hotel experience for the price. NEVER AGAIN!!!

+ Very strategic location: Termini station and many tourist attractions are within a 20-minute walk (Colosseum, Forum Romano, Trevi), the nearest metro station is around the corner - easy connection to the Vatican or the Spanish Steps + in the middle of the imposing Monti district with many small traditional restaurants + late arrivals are not a problem, luggage room at the reception, elevator (small) till the last floor, nice roof terrace + rooms (double) are small and simple but very clean, with simple tea-making facilities + family rooms for travelers with children + reasonable breakfast, attentive staff + value for money, very solid 3* hotel - rooms are not well soundproofed - not the best coffee for breakfast...

Very friendly staff and well positioned to see all the sites. The room was clean, maybe a little small but that said we only slept in it. Breakfast was good and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from within a 15 min walk. We only spent three days in Rome so we will return and probably book again!
