It was by far one of the best places I’ve ever stayed, the hospitality of the family that runs the Houseboat is tremendous and really great! Food served was home cooked and each meal - every day was really really tasty, healthy and delicious. The entire Houseboat is always kept clean and the Host takes care of each and every chore very nicely starting from morning hot water to tea to breakfast and all the way upto night dinner, always keeping a check on things, keeping the rooms and hallway warm with their traditional room heaters. Anyone who stays here will definitely have a strong memory of the place and will want to come back to it. It’s truly amazing ! Thanks to the family that runs the “Kings Houseboat”

I had pre-booked my first night in India. I was looking for a nice houseboat which could provide peace and quiet, genuine Kashmir food and an astonishing view — all this on a budget. My research led me to Kings Houseboats: Spot on! My plan was to stay a night or two meanwhile I was looking for the right place to stay but when I arrived at the houseboat and I saw my room, I knew I found the right place! The scenery of the lotus field fills you with tranquility knowing you are on most beautiful spot in Kashmir. I’m now ending a 17-day stay. When you are lying down on your pillow looking out through the wide side windows and you see the amazing lotus fields spreading out until the misty mountains of the Himalayan — this is life! See pictures taken from my double bed and from the front deck. Ask for Master cabin: Room 007. When I took a rickshaw (100 rubies — electric rickshaw) downtown to Dal lake and I saw the houseboats all stuck together and the shikaras driving around like crazy, I really understood that I made the right decision! The Dunoo family will take care of you. This is a well-respected family, with the heart on the right place! They will try to make the best for you during your stay AND without any hidden plans. The awe-inspiring father will treat you like a son and accommodate all your needs. The mother will spoil you with excellent Kashmir food. The grown up sons will assist you with any travel or shopping enquiries you may have — all this in total harmony. Enjoy! // Niklas

It was an amazing experience Staying here, We stayed here for four nights during our trip to kashmir and it was our best decision to choose king's Houseboats for our stay, everything here felt amazing the location and the view from the boat house in breathtaking, and I must say that it's the best Houseboat in Kashmir

Come here for an amazing ambience , hospitality, home made food and over all vibe ! The place has a vintage feel to it. Loved staying here. They managed shikara rides at an affordable rate for us ! They also call authentic local artisans at their venue to see authentic kashmiri products to their guests . Thanks for being an amazing host , Aamir and Aadil 👍🏻 Great going !

If you wish to find a secluded spot on Nigeen and have a great view of the mountains and water, then this is the houseboat to be. Add to it the good hospitality of Amir, hygiene, tasty home made food and antique interiors. I was with my wife and 9 month old baby, and didn’t have any problem during the stay. Amir even got us a shikara right to the boathouse for a ride on the lake. You can get your car right to the property. We also got to take great pics. What more can you ask for. Thank you.
