Beautiful accommodation and excellent attention to detail. Located in a historic part of Ayr minutes from the beach. Amazing Christmas tree and Christmas atmosphere- recommend a stay over the festive period.

What a lovely guest house, beautiful and relaxing. Comfortable and spacious room which felt very private. There was a good choice of food for breakfast which was delicious. The service was also first class, warm and friendly. It was my first stay at Lochinver and I’ll be sure to return- highly recommended

Immaculate, everything done for the comfort of the guest. Fresh Coffee, milk, still and sparkling water, tea and excellent shortbread and sultana cookies all in the room. This Edwardian house is beautifully furnished and decorated in comfortable period style, front garden, courtyard garden at the back, parking permit included. And a delicious and luxurious breakfast, everything fresh on dishes, no annoying little packets. Highest quality food, excellent service. Sinclair runs the best b&b you could find. In a beautiful tree-lined terrace five minutes walk from the centre of Ayr and from the sea. I would unhesitatingly recommend the Lochinver to everyone.

What a stunning hotel everyone and everything was excellent the room was immaculate the bedding was superior quality the breakfast was tremendous and Sinclair was well informed and so helpful to the guests. I have been in most of the hotels and guest houses in Ayr and this one is by far the best

The beds are super comfy and we had a great nights sleep! We were on the top floor and didn't hear anything. Fabulous! We enjoyed the home made cookies and the real glasses that were in the room. Sinclair was very accommodating as well, he brought us up a wine opener and even offered wine glasses. His suggestion for dinner at Chestnuts was great! Lots of things close by, we walked to the beach and dinner!

Can’t rate this highly enough, accommodation was to an extremely high standard, owners were friendly and helpful, great breakfast and handy spot for walking into Ayr. The area is beautiful and the guesthouse is stunning. The rooms are beyond beautiful. ♥️

Fantastic place to stay, accommodation and host are really good, room and breakfast were excellent. Sinclair and his staff were very helpful and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed one night whilst touring and are able to park our motorcycle securely in the walled garden which had a locked gate. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful BandB, the breakfast was gorgeous, our room was very comfortable and staff were friendly. There isn’t a car park, but there is plenty of room on the road. Little touches like fresh milk and 2 types of water in the room were impressive.

This is now the second time staying here, it is very central, it’s walking distance to the beach and town centre, it’s immaculate, it’s very quaint and the rooms are lovely, as are the staff, it has on street parking, highly recommended, just rebooked for next year

We stayed overnight at this lovely guest house during our short trip to Ayr. The rooms are extremely well equipped, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Parking is free and available on the street. Breakfast was amazing. Highly recommend

I’ve stayed before and will stay again. Wonderful. Clean, comfy, very friendly and just a beautiful place. Sleep so well here. Comfy, cosy, quiet. Few minutes walk to the beach and 5 or so to town centre. It is one of the best places I’ve stayed.

We stayed here on our way home from Loch Awe. We couldn’t fault the place. Lovely quiet road, well maintained property, rooms very comfortable and immaculately clean. The extras ie; water, tea, coffee, cookies all complimentary were a nice touch. The owner and staff could not do enough for you and breakfast was quality ( fresh to order). We would highly recommend this guest house.

Lovely guest house ideally situated for exploring the area, especially if visiting Dumfries House and Culzean Castle. Would also be great for golfers and race enthusiasts. Rooms are stylish and beds comfortable. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast are superb and set you up for the day and are great value.

What a fantastic guest house, rooms great. Novelty getting home made cookies and lovely wee note with them . Breakfast was fantastic. The location is central. Would highly recommend. Owners very friendly and would 100% visit again in future
