What a lovely hostel to stay at. We wanted to stay somewhere close to the port as we have friends working on the cruise line so location was perfect, staff were so lovely and friendly and really loved the kitchen space compared to other hostels we’ve stayed in. 10/10 recommend to anyone travelling through the Cairns area :)

A very nice and convenient place to stay! The location is fantastic, you are right in the centre of Cairns which means you are walking distance from all the good bars, restaurants, shops and the beach. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff clean them daily and are very friendly too. The girls on the reception were very friendly and very helpful. Every day there is a new event: killer pool, beer pong tournament, movie night, bbq night and various others so you wont get bored. The bar area is a great place to meet new people and the barman is very friendly and does love to make cocktails! They also have a swimming pool! A great place to get rid of that hangover in the morning ;) overall its a fantastic place to stay and will 100% recommend to all!

Mad Monkey Central is a great social hostel in the center of Cairns! Its a great place to meet loads of people and take advantage of the happy hour. It's super close to the action and there's always someone looking to get out and about. The travel desk is also super useful!
