Excellent service, good parking, good food and room size. The only down side is the potential danger of getting on to the main road leaving the hotel. Unfortunately we weren't offered a room with a balcony and Rhine view although the hotel didn't seem fully booked as I had expected having booked just a couple of days before arrival. The extra price would have been acceptable.

Last week my friend and I returned from what was to be a 3-night stay at this hotel, but unfortunately we came back one day early (September 1). It's a great hotel and the location is one of the best ever, on a hill overlooking the Rhine river and the town of Unkel on the other side of the river. The rooms are comfortable and have a good size. Great sauna and swimming pool. But there are 2 BUT's: 1. The noise from trains and cars passing below the hotel during the night made it impossible for my friend to fall asleep. It was warm and there is no air conditioning (they do supply a good working fan) but had to keep the windows open due to the heat. Perhaps there is less noise when one can keep the windows closed? 2. The food was below par. Due to staff shortages they served dinner buffet style. I believe the missing staff member was the chef or anyone in the kitchen with any "love for food". It was unappetizing, plain, tasteless - I'll leave it at that! I've lived and worked in Germany for 4 years and visit many times every year. I've always said that you can't have a bad meal in Germany.. I'm afraid I have to change my statement. Perhaps we were unlucky in staying at the hotel during this staff shortage and would love to read reviews of people who come after us - when there is "normal service" in the dining room.

Das Hotel liegt auf dem Berg, mit Weitblick über die Rheinkurve. Das Zimmer war zwar etwas klein, jedoch sauber und gepflegt. Das Bett war bequem. Das Frühstück war umfassend und gut. Der Blick aus dem Fenster am Morgen ist unbezahlbar. Das Personal war freundlich. Großer Nachteil war jedoch, dass das Schwimmbad (wohl für länger) außer Betrieb war, worauf ich mich sehr gefreut hatte und extra deshalb auch gebucht hatte. In der Nähe befindet sich eine Fähre, was verkehrsgünstig ist, um auf die anderen Flussseite zu kommen. Sehr gerne wieder.

Ein traumhafter Blick, tolle Lage, sehr freundliches Personal, barrierearm ( Aufzug, Rampen, rollstuhlgerechte Zimmer, rollstuhlgerechte Umkleide im Schwimmbad) Ich habe nur keinen Lift für den Einstieg ins Schwimmbad gesehen....Da ich noch ein paar Schritte gehen kam ich sowohl in die Sauna als auch ins Schwimmbad. Ich komme gerne wieder.

nicht zufrieden 21,102023 und 28,10,-30,10,2023da waren wir zufriieden da gab es Tellgericht wir haben Halbpension gebucht am 04,11-05,11 2023 Halbpension da gabs buffet was Gemüse war richtig kalt und das andere lauwarm obwohl der das chef das weis das die Behälter nicht warm werdern ich kann nur raten es kein Büfett wir haben schau viel Geld bezahlt für ein kaltes essen eine Zumutung stäandig wird vorne an die anmeldung die Leute gesucht die anmeldung durchführen da wollten wir 17,15 ein checken da haben wir vorne 15 Minuten gestanden ganz schlechter Service obwohl wir zimmer 232 gebucht haben mit ＞WC erhöhnung wollte er mir zimmer 132 geben der hat gesagt wenn auf das zimmer 232 die wc erhöhnung nicht sollte ich wieder kommen die war nicht also nochmal runter und gesagt das die fehlt das eine wo es wirklich geklappt mit der Buchung war am 28,,10-30,102023 das haben wir über olsen reisen gebucht das war super die beiden andere male hat nichts geklappt
