Easy check in and out with a key code Nice old house with period features Kitchen available for use and kettle in room Shared facilities were fine of somewhat basic Location within easy walking distance to Redruth. But ….. Redruth itself we found lacking in much ambience or amenities ie decent pubs and restaurants, everything closes early , it’s v quiet Unfortunately our room ( The Elephant room) was damp with an all pervading smell and this massively impacted our stay . The big front window was shaded by a large tree, which whilst beautiful made our room also dark We did not look forward to returning after a day out which was sad. I know Cornwall is expensive and this was also not cheap , not great value for money
