We stayed at cedar house for 2 nights and it was the most comfortable stay . Lovely large room ,and bathroom a lounge upstairs and also a kitchenette . Penny & Roger were lovely hosts ,we didn't use the pool but everything was great ! Would definitely stay there again when in Gisbourne

Wonderfully comfortable stay in a beautiful house that has been sympathetically converted whilst retaining its period charm Beds and bed linen are luxurious and the guest lounges are lovely. There is a modestly sized heated outdoor pool too

"Absolutely stunning" is the only way to describe this place. I was blown away as soon as I walked in. The rooms are huge, the decor is of the highest quantity, and the landscaping is amazing. Staying here was a real treat and I'd highly recommend

We stayed at Cedar House for two nights. The house is awesome, very large bedrooms and lounge with high ceilings and lovely wood interiors. We stayed in Tokomaru, a large bedroom with a fabulous bathroom..The property is also well located close to the town centre. Unfortunately, the experience is let down by a very basic self service breakfast, we were also surprised that despite staying two nights our room was not serviced. The property is five star but the service is two star so only 3 stars overall. More Airbnb than B&B all be it beautifully furnished and very well equipped.

Fabulously rooms an decor BUT for the price we only got cereal, store brought bread...where I come from that's not continental I'm just making comments as I have to get to 200 characters to submit. Please provide a continental breakfast as explained
