荷蘭米爾酒店(The Dutch Mill Hotel)

we popped in for lunch the other day, food was very good apart from the steak pie gravy seemed to be very peppery,staff were very good and switched on. the only downside was that the desserts were very overpriced for the meagre serving provided. overall i would return

Bedroom lovely, bed really comfy and breakfast fab. One complaint…. Young bar staff couldn’t be bothered to check cellar for bottle of brandy. Advised they had run out but discovered from breakfast staff that there were new bottles in the cellar. Evening bar staff need more customer service training, customers are not obliged to choose a different drink because bar staff too lazy to check for drink of choice.

disappointed with our stay at the Dutch mill The room was so dark and dingy, there was no way you could see in the mirror to put make up on. Luckily I took my own light. There were cobwebs from the ceiling .The carpets have seen better days and I was glad I’d taken something to wear on my feet. The smell of damp was horrendous and unpacking at home we had to wash everything as the smell was clinging to everything . The decor was tired and due to the damp paper and ceilings were peeling.we kept windows open as much as possible for November but The traffic noise was so loud, it wasn’t an option , However even with windows closed the noise was constant so clearly windows not doing their job. Lastly when we returned from our evening we had to feel around in pitch dark through the front marquee , trying to find the lock to hotel door in the dark. We had planned to get breakfast but to be honest we wanted out as soon as possible. I honestly can’t express enough the smell of the room, not really acceptable.

A very tight squeeze to access on site parking! Professional welcome at reception. Well appointed, nicely decorated, large room. Being at the front of the building, there was a degree of road noise, noticeable but not intrusive. We stayed on a Sunday night, so the huge outdoor covered area at entrance and directly under our room, was empty. Suspect it may become much noisier at weekends or during summer. Good service in the bar and at breakfast. At which there was a good menu choice, although only cereal and yoghurt, no fruit, pastries or juice at the buffet table. Good location.

Although not much of interest nearby it was in a great location with a great pub on site with great food. Parking was anything but easy but this is Scotland after all.

Great location within walking distance of city centre. Really friendly and helpful staff. Place was immaculate and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Very good value for money for the standard of accommodation. Breakfast was tasty.

Lunch with family, servers were really lovely very helpful and so polite. Nice menu catering for most tastes, good size portions too, only criticism was the steak pie which was a bit tough and tasteless, all in all would go back.

Very poor service certainly went down hill after the past few visits won't be returning no excuse when there is more staff than customers just as well go to a Weatherspoons food much the same and cheaper sitting with empty glasses and plates for long enough had to take them to the bar myself not the Dutchmill I no from years ago

5 Stars for sure for our stay with my wife and two teenagers. Beautiful property, fantastic restaurant and very welcoming staff and manager, Finlay. Finlay really made our visit special. The rooms were great and we really enjoyed our stay.
