Modern clean hotel in a good location, completely let down by poor staffing levels. My second stay here and both times getting food at the restaurant was a problem. Long wait times to get served, 40 minutes to get the meal. Breakfast was worse, 20 minute wait just for a table. Just one member of staff to serve the bar, restaurant and front desk, ridiculous. It's a great hotel in an ideal location, but until I hear they have more staff I will not be staying again.

After getting our key cards to the room we went into a very finger printed lift and then went into our room. The towels looked very shabby not sure if they were clean or not .After an hour or so I went to use the toilet and found it had the last occupants excrement down the toilet. I was horrified and went down to the reception and told him and I offered to clean it myself. He said someone will be coming to clean it I the next ten minutes, the lady did come up and cleaned it but it was still dirty on the outside. The staff were nice but seems run off there feet Internet was poor and for the amount we paid we were very disappointed

Bathroom was grubby, dark hair in the sink and toilet bowl was stained with previous occupants deposits. There was a dirty drinking glass behind the curtains in the bedroom.

New hotel with the basics well covered. Room very comfy and continental breakfast was excellent. Parking well placed in view.

The best Premier Inn we have stayed at. Super clean, not shabby (like some others have been recently) and very very lovely staff.

we have stayed in many primer inns as we do Sci fi conventions of which we were at Abbey-Con we arrived to find that we had to pay for parking of which we didn't know about which we have never had to do we arrived a bit early and wanted to check in but we're told check in was 3pm and if we wanted early check-in it would cost us an extra £15 which is ridiculous considering hotel rooms aren't cheap now so we waited the person on reception was a bit abrupt towards my husband as well when we finally were able to check in dead on 3pm not a minute before we had a basic room which was clean except the shower as when we used it the water wasn't draning very well and nearly flooded the floor so my husband lifted the drain and it was full of hair (please see photos ) this is not only disgusting but that shows that the cleaners don't check this surely that is health and safety or even infection control!? as someone who works in a hospital that is not acceptable! my husband spoke to the manager and we were offered to move rooms or they would have sent someone up but it was late in the evening and wasn't prepared to pack up and move rooms over something that should have been checked in the first place this needs to be addressed with the cleaning team as that was utterly disgusting clogged up with someone's disgusting hair !!

As always a comfy bed, great room and fabulous staff especially the male reception staff who seemed to be doing everything

Hotel room ok. Hot, air conditioning came on during 2nd day. Food not good, but cheap (kids free). But the main problem is parking: BEWARE! I got stung with £60 parking charges TWICE. Once when the car park was full - I parked next to someone else who was on a double yellow (presumably they got fined too). Second time when I was leaving, i.e. parking outside to pick up suitcases. Horizon is a GREEDY company that allows no leeway, no grace, no nothing... so pay up, even if you're only there a few minutes!

My aunt and uncle stayed for 2 nights while visiting us from Kent. We live close by and they booked here on my recommendation. However, after reading reviews here, I was concerned that staying here was going to be a bad idea. Thankfully our concerns were unfounded. On check in, we were warmly greeted by Claire at reception. She explained everything to my aunt and uncle and advised us about the parking. The room was spotless, including the bathroom. My aunt and uncle said that they slept very well the 2 nights they stayed there. No issues with any road noise and they would be happy to stay there again. My aunt did mention that a chest of drawers might be useful in the room for people staying longer than 1 or 2 nights. Before their departure, we all had breakfast in the restaurant. The gentleman there explained very clearly how the breakfast worked. The cooked breakfast was very good, lots of choice and hot. The restaurant itself was very clean, as were the toilets. A good, filling breakfast before we drove them back home to Kent after their weekend visit with us. Thank you to all the lovely staff at The Premier Inn Abingdon!
