大象館酒店(Elephant House)

Das Elephant House war die erste Station unsere Südafrikareise mit drei Kindern. Der Ort ist der Inbegriff von Ruhe und Geborgenheit. Das Personal ist unendlich freundlich und hilfsbereit - Teenager mit Nasenbluten wurden umsorgt und bekümmert, keine Bitte war zu viel. Wir waren mit Harry zwei mal im Elephant Park - er ist sehr vertraut mit der Umgebung und konnte uns zu jedem noch so kleinen Tier etwas erzählen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Splendida struttura a pochi Km. dal Addo National Park. La nostra camera enorme e dotata addirittura di un patio privato con doccia esterna. 2 piscine e parco per rilassarsi dopo un safari ( che peraltro puoi prenotare direttamente in loco ) Un ringraziamento particolare al personale che si è subito dato da fare quanto abbiamo fatto presente che in bagno ci mancava l'acqua calda risolvendo in poco tempo il problema.

Dieses Hotel ist einfach nur bezaubernd! Ein Hotel mit Seele! Mit so viel Liebe zum Detail wurde jedes einzelne Bild, Foto, jeder Teppich, jede Vase etc mit viel Geschmack und Bezug zum Land & der Geschichte ausgesucht. Kompliment an die Eigentümer. Jedes Zimmer & jedes Cottage ist anders. Das Personal unglaublich aufmerksam, herzlich & sympathisch. Ich kann hier einzelne schlechte Rezessionen nicht im Geringsten nachvollziehen. Schauen sich diese Leute, die es lieber neu und eher puristisch mögen denn das Hotel das sie buchen nicht vorher im Internet an? Aber dann schlechte Rezensionen schreiben… Ganz schlechter Stil! Das sind wahrscheinlich die gleichen Leute, die abends mit Bergsteiger-Klamotten beim Abendessen sitzen. Sie versauen mit ihrer Erscheinung wirklich auch das schönste Ambiente. Der einzige Minus-Punkt beim Elephant House ist, dass man leider hier nur frühstücken kann und sich somit gezwungenermaßen zu den Jack-Wolfskin-Klamotten-Trägern in einen der umliegenden Restaurants gesellen muss. Da hilft dann nur guter Wein & gutes Essen…

Clive, Ann and the staff could not be more helpful. From the booking process through to the goodbyes - they’re faultless. Whilst the place has been operational for many years it’s immaculately maintained and has a timeless quality that really appeals to discerning clients that don’t need anthracite grey at every turn. We chose to stay here rather than be based in an on park tented lodge. The plan worked we visited three reserves who all have very different offerings. Be sure to ask Clive or Ann to book you onto the Addo Elephant park and the must see Schotia Reserve well in advance to be sure of your place. Enjoy!

A place not be missed! Beautiful architecture, large bedrooms, a lot of open living rooms, 2 swimming pools,… The place exudes luxury and calm while managing to feel very homy, also thanks to the lovely owner and staff. Clive made sure we had the most wonderful stay and went the extra mile to accommodate us (booking restaurants and safaris). The location is great to go to Addo Elephant Park for a self-drive tour. We also booked the tour organized by Elephant House and had a great time. We will recommend this place to all our friends going to South Africa.

Staying here is a treat and the entire place is excellent in every way. Rooms are large and the location is ideal for Addo. The cottages are also great and the staff could not do enough for one during our stay. I could not rate this place high enough

Just returned from our latest & umpteenth visit to stay with Clive and his ‘family’. As always the welcome was with big smiles and huge hugs from everyone. There is absolutely nothing I can fault about the Elephant House because it is just ‘home from home’ and there’s nothing better when you are staying anywhere. My husband is now unfortunately not so mobile but that never presented a problem - there was a helping hand everywhere. Can 100% recommend for comfortable accommodation and welcoming, friendly, helpful proprietor & staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Elephant House. We stayed in one of the spacious stable cottages. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had a good conversation with Graduate (one of the staffmembers), a very warm and cheerful person. The owner is also very friendly. The architecture and interior is truly beautiful. Recently returning to Addo and had the pleasure of staying at the Elephant House. As someone who was born and raised in the area, it was a wonderful experience to be back. The Elephant House is a luxurious and peaceful accommodation that offers a beautiful setting, tranquil environment, and a stunning view of the fever trees. The accommodation itself is top-notch, with luxurious amenities and comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, and made our stay all the more enjoyable. What made the trip even more special was the great company we had while and Elephant House made it a very special occasion. The ambiance of the Elephant House made it a relaxing and peaceful environment to be in, and the best part of our trip. In conclusion, if you're looking for a place to unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the Elephant House is worth it. With its beautiful setting, luxurious accommodation, and friendly staff, it offers the perfect blend of comfort and tranquillity. Highly recommended!
