蝴蝶海灘格羅夫酒店(Mariposa Beach Grove)

Lovely beach front huts, large spacious rooms and outside/inside bathroom. The biggest bed in the world, working A/C and great location to all the bars and restaurants on the road. Had better service in other huts, but huts were lovely. Staff could try a little harder with the guests and make them feel little more welcome.

We have visited Agonda many times and always admired Mariposa as it looked like a beautiful place to stay. Indeed the garden is shaded and it’s a peaceful and relaxing place to arrive after a long haul flight. Unfortunately the resort lacks any care or pride in its environment and the facilities showed sign of neglect and general poor maintenance. Sunbeds were in state of disrepair with several just unusable. The bathroom could be amazing but it just felt unloved and with lots of standing water from a dripping shower, a complete haven for mosquitoes. We wanted to love it here but it just felt tired and really poor value and there are far better places to stay in Agonda for less money.

Stayed for two nights and experience wasn’t great. First of all the property is not in good shape and needs maintenance badly. Room’s interior was old, broken and dusty. Bathroom was with open roof and taps were leaking. Sun beds mattress were all tattered except few. I did ask for a room change but to my surprise it was all full. Food : found a cockroach in the soup. Reported to manager and his attitude was causal like ‘sir since this a cottage, cockroach may fall from roof and not that it came from kitchen’. My wife did visit the kitchen but it was in just OK condition(no cockroach spotted there though). However we decided to look for food in properties near by. By the way ‘Goa cottages’ served us good sea food and Chinese. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only good part is their setup - sunbeds are right in front of room with a proper fence and under the trees ( always under the shed) so kids can easily play with enough security.

Enjoyed the privacy and beachfront setting. Room needed some TLC. Management are very low profile and did not feel greatly welcomed, although great if you like being left alone. Beach hut had everything in terms of Wifi and air conditioning.

Spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Unfortunately no sea view because of the monsoons the fence is covered and their restaurant is closed temporarily. We still enjoyed the stay very much. The staff suggested us the best restaurants to eat at. Would love to go back during summer. Time visited: June 24 - 26 2023

Long story short beautifull place. Entry to the huts directly from the beach. We were after the season and the beach was simply empty. Excellent place to rest. Only restaurant was closed as after the season but many others outside were open.

The stay was amazing. The location was expextional. They had 5 beach facing villas ***** with a small lawn where one can sit and enjoy the sea view. The food was amazing and tasty. The only space for upgrade is in cleanliness section such as bed linens and bath towels otherwise overall experience was 10/10.

We spent a week at Mariposa Beach Grove and had a fantastic stay. Whilst the accommodation is simple, it is clean, comfortable and has good air con. The open bathroom is a great option and it had a good shower. Service at Mariposa is excellent. The view from the accommodation is stunning. We ate most lunchtimes and evenings at the rooftop restaurant and the food was consistently very good and very reasonable. Service in the bar and restaurant was friendly and attentive.

We come to stay at Mariposa every year, for the last 10 years and we are always very satisfied. Friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant. The bungalows are perfectly located(never hot) on the first line. Very clean, comfortable bed, open air bathroom. Daily cleaning. Each bungalow has its own sun loungers and umbrella. There is private secured parking. It's just Paradise. Thank you
