聖克里斯多福酒店(Hotel Saint Christophe)

Malgré un appel téléphone après la réservation et les critiques négatives sur Tripadvisor nous étions sur nos gardes…. Effectivement cet hôtel ne mérite pas 3 étoiles , vieillot et pas spacieux…chambre étroite et fuite salle de bains… très cher près de 200€ la nuit auxquels il faut rajouter 30€ par nuit de parking … petite déjeuner plus que banal aucune originalité. Seul avantage près du centre ville… je ne recommande pas !!!!

Il punto di forza è la posizione, vicino alla città vecchia. Per il resto è, a mio parere, un hotel buono per una notte di passaggio: la hall ha un aspetto polveroso, sensazione aumentata dalle pesanti tende a lato del lungo corridoio che porta alla reception e dalla passatoia rossa con disegni decò non brillante. Le camere sono piccole e il bagno minimo (salvo la doccia, molto comoda). Comunque pulito. La sala colazione era piena di tavoli e il cibo a buffet non coperto: non proprio l’ideale in questo periodo di COVID. Il personale cortese. In complesso non un favorevole rapporto qualità/prezzo. Non abbiamo provato il parcheggio dell’hotel ma a 5 minuti a piedi c’è il parcheggio pubblico Mignet. Abbiamo speso circa 15€ per 12 ore.

Das Hotel scheint als würde es bald schliessen. Es wird im Internet sehr schön präsentiert. Dem ist überhaupt nicht so. Wir wurden in die Irre geführt. Restaurant geschlossen und keine Bar. Preis Leistung stimmt nicht. Die Dame an der Rezeption war alleine und sie war aber sehr freundlich.

Location magnificent. My complaint is that shower tile grout lines were very moldy, should have been cleaned but not dangerous

Hotel has excellent location, no question about it. Our room on the upper floors was actually quite nice with small doors opening to one of the main streets. Lobby is very small and everything dated and worn. Breakfast room small as well, no windows, dark. Breakfast simple, seems to be standard in France. Service was friendly. Carpark downstairs, very tight turns there as well, which seems to be the case almost everywhere in Provence, forget about renting SUVs. As the room was fresh and nice, hotel should really refresh the entrance to the reception, well, basicly the whole ground floor. Elevator worked but was suspicious. Rate for the room considering it was low season was (too) high, on our trip to similar cities in Provence, we got better value for the money. So, location good, room good, rest of the hotel slightly shabby, service nice, and cost of the room on the too high side. Ps. Hand+shower soap (”blackcurrant and sege”), when I came to the room, washed my hands, I thought the room hadnt been in use for ages and the water smelled, but same happened in the shower. It turned out it was the soap that has awful smell, I’m amazed this scent is possible, and also surprised if anyone finds it attractive, the whole family agreed. Should be changed as a tip.

The bedroom was in aloft, didn't expect a fly of stairs leading to the bed, so if you in bed and need to use the bathroom good luck and becareful.

Hotel Saint Christophe is a classy, chic hotel with a location that cannot be beat. The lady at the desk was delightful. I was in Aix alone so it was important to me to be able to walk out my door to everything. The Rotund fountain which signifies the centre ville is a stone's throw from the hotel. There are wonderful restaurants, cafes and shops steps away. The room I had was small but elegant. Breakfast was a full American breakfast which was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is quirky. Love the decor and the reception staff were very friendly. It is in a great central location so very convenient. You have to buy drinking water as you can’t drink tap water. The WiFi is painfully slow. I would stay again but not if I depended on WiFi for work!

Excellent location and very helpful reception staff. But it’s all extremely tired and dated and feels like a tatty budget hotel. We had a balcony but the awning didn’t work properly and as it catches full sun from Late am onwards, it was unusable in the July heat.. We had a bath but the plug seemed permanently closed. The beds are very hard. Room is tiny. But you get what you pay for and this isn’t expensive but overall I was disappointed and wouldn’t return. I’m not sure I’d grade it 3*. We didn’t have the breakfast at the hotel as there are plenty of excellent and cheaper options very close by. And we didn’t use their car park but another close by which was also excellent. Stopping near the hotel to drop off people/baggage is quite challenging.
