reaaly friendly and clean

We had to reserve a room last minute emergency. The rooms are extremely nice and clean. I found parking easily. Staff was sooooo friendly. I’d definitely stay again.

They have decided to put portable AC units in the rooms, which do not keep up and it seems like this isn't a temporary solution. Our room is 80 degrees, currently. There was not notification of this change to the room when we made the reservation or when we checked in. The bathroom is like a sauna. Front desk manager was rude (Gerald) and basically told us to deal with it when we asked for another room. As a Bonvoy member, the front desk is usually so welcoming - this was the first time I was treated like this in 15 years. In addition to the rude manager, this hotel is also old, dirty, and unsafe. Not security card swipe when getting in the elevator. Starting to question whether the Marriott brand is tanking.

While the location is great, the rooms need to be updated. My door did not lock when departing without several steps, the iron did not work, and the shower was not cleaned. There was hair in several spots that didn’t match my color or length. At the price I paid for this stay, I should not have encountered any of this.

Fantastic stay! The room was spacious and comfortable, the free Breakfast was delicious, the free 24-hour coffee bar was a blessing, and the gentleman at the desk, Gerald Bradshaw was probably the best I've ever encountered. Coming and going, Gerald would cheerfully greet me by name. I even stopped to thank him and tell him how Very impressive it is to remember all his guests' names! And he was very informative about finding inexpensive parking options and adjusting my departure time. An absolute delight! I highly recommend this property for vacationing in beautiful downtown Albany, NY!!!

Great location for an event at MVP arena and great staff! I had an issue with the safe in the room and Joe immediately fixed it. Not having windows in the room was odd at first, but I was not in the room much. Great location if you are going to an event at MVP arena with a really supportive hotel staff.

The hotel itself was fine. The lady working the front desk was very rude. She never asked for my credit card upon checkin in, which every other hotel does. Isn’t that a requirement? When we got into our room, it was extremely hot in there. We tried to turn down the temperature from our room, but the thermostat was broken. We called the front desk to see if they could help us or to see if maybe the thermostat was controlled by them. The front desk agent immediately hung up on us and then wouldn’t answer our calls afterwards. We went downstairs to the front desk and she told us that the entire system was down and there was nothing she could do about it. She was very rude and unpleasant to talk to. She only told us the entire system was down so she didn’t have to deal with it. It was very obvious. When we came back to the hotel for the night there was a different lady at the front desk so we mentioned To her that the thermostat in our room wasn’t working and it was extremely warm. She was very pleasant and told us she was very sorry and that it wasn’t the whole system that was down, it was just our room. However, she wouldn’t give a different room or anything to make up for this. It had to of been atleast 80 degrees in our room. I’ve never been treated like this by an agent before, and I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels.

I paid for a room with a view, but got a room with 1 window that was about 18 inches wide, that overlooked the roof of another building, which was disappointing. The toilet was running when we walked in and continued to have issues flushing. We were hardly in the room ,as were were in town for an event. and were too tired to call for repair. The over all experience in the hotel was very positive. It felt safe, and clean. Would choose to stay here again.
