Our stay at the Doubletree Hotel in Albuquerque was disappointing, to say the least. The hotel appeared rundown and neglected upon arrival. Our room was particularly disappointing; the shower curtain was broken, there were issues with the moulding, unclean walls, and the floor had a noticeable film that made it feel unclean. The coffee maker was also inexcusably dirty, with remnants of the previous guest's stay still present. Unfortunately, we ended up at the Doubletree because our original booking at the Embassy Suites fell through due to a lack of available rooms. This experience at the Doubletree left much to be desired, and I would caution anyone considering staying here to consider their options carefully.
We have stayed at Best Western Rio Grande many times over the years. We love the location near Old Towne and museums, the restaurant's free breakfast, the accommodating staff, the shuttle, and the Southwestern decor. There is even a running path down the street. Even though we could stay with family, staying at the hotel makes our trips more comfortable and enjoyable.
MMike and Lea KlattThis quality Inn and suites was by far the nicest two star hotel I have ever stayed in! Everything worked… The staff is amazing… I loved it here and will stay here every time I come to Albuquerque!
We were passing through when we experienced car trouble. A part needed to be ordered, so we had to spend the night in town. We were too early to check into the hotel nearest the dealership, so we stupidly googled a cheaper hotel that was relatively close by. Our first clue this was a mistake was when we drove past the numerous homeless people camped near the entrance. The woman working the front desk was friendly. I think she thought she was doing us a favor giving us a ground floor room which were outdoor hallways, but my husband didn't sleep well all night wondering if some of the sketchy people were lurking outside our room or breaking into our loaner car. There was a disgusting wet cigarette butt on the desk!! The sheets & the shower did look relatively clean. We had to ask a cleaning lady for a lightbulb for our lamp. We had a lot of time to kill, but the room was so depressing, we needed to get out for a while, so we found a movie theater to escape for a while. But the last thing that really turned us off was at breakfast when one of the homeless women was eating breakfast & wanted to greet us by shaking hands!! Ick!! She stopped for a moment at the front desk to chat, so I'm thinking she probably helps with some room cleaning, & I'm wondering if she takes that opportunity to use the toilet & shower facilities??? And maybe lets her homeless friends in too??? With so many other options in town, I would never recommend this hotel.
OOlivia LozaThe place is located close to the Convention Center, 5 min. Drive
The room was clean when we got there
The guys at the help desk were very nice and always willing to help.
The ”breakfast” offer very few granola bars, fewer apples, some yogurts and coffee, only regular sugar. No sweetener of any kind, the juice machine was not working the 4 days we stayed there.
Cleaning the room. They require that the customer request the cleaning of the room. .In writing in a post it, and signed it,! then the guy at the help desk sign it too.
