Well what can i say about One Garden Lago. a lot but not much good unfortunately! We left on Monday 24th July and swore that we would never stay there again. The hotel on arrival looked very tired and dated. We arrived late due to flight delay on 14th and the receptionist really looked over whelmed trying to check us all in. We were a part of 8 - 2 families. We had upgraded to the 3 bedroom apparently which was an additional €350. We didn't mind this as it was a spacious big apartment with plenty of room and was very well equipped. You really had everything you needed for home from home experience. 2 bathrooms also was great to have. this is were the positive feedback ends! The pool was a huge let down. Very dated and tired looking and in much need of a good deep clean. The walk way across the pool really had us stumped as we really don't understand why it is there. you were NOT allowed to stand on it or even god forbid jump off it. The life guard (older Gent) blew his whistle constantly at everyone for the slightest thing that any other pool guard would know people would be having a laugh and fun in the water! i made the mistake on one of the days to visit the toilet by the pool. omg it was disgusting. On the bathroom floor was someone's faeces all over the floor and obvious people had walked through it, needless to say the toilet was not ventured near the remainder of our 10 night stay. There is a water fountain in the middle of the more shallow end of the pool and kids even some adults being them were messing around with it trying get it spray each other.. all very innocent and again the Whistle. He was the only life guard that blew that Whistle. he never spoke with anyone bar blowing the whistle and shaking his finger. Fathers playing with their children in the pool messing with them ( Throwing them) he would blow the whistle at them. The impression we got from him he didn't want be there and didn't want any stress to annoy his day of sitting on his phone or having his wee coffee. The other life guard seems very sweet and the fountain didn't bother her in the slightest. This is NOT a deep pool anywhere. i am 5ft 7 and it came up to my chin when standing in deepest part. A huge let down for us with our son who is 6ft 1 and used to deep swimming pools everywhere else we have stayed. We asked the life guard a question on the 2nd day and he said sorry no English, yet on day 9 he made a point of coming across to the other side of the pool to where my bro in law was sitting having his morning coffee in a mug which he had brought out of his apartment and in good English said sorry you know you're not allowed to have glass ware by the pool. i mean this is a 45 year old man sitting with an empty cup in his hand sitting on a sun bed. he wasn't jumping leaping about the place and he literally made such big deal about it all in perfectly good English On the 2nd day of holiday we received some very sad news and my son and his girlfriend had
