馬塞里亞蘇薩法酒店(Susafa)

Ho soggiornato presso questa autorevole struttura di charme che la suggerisco come location ideale per una rigenerazione personale e totale. Dalla quiete della location alla cucina ricca di eccellenze, al personale tutto e non per ultimo, alla proprietà della struttura. Un sentito grazie ed un arrivederci presto.

Siamo tornati un anno dopo per il rimpianto di non averne potuto usufruire e godere appieno dell'incanto , troppo coinvolti dallo scoprire i borghi intorno delle Madonie. Ci arrivi dopo essere salito in cima ad un passo nelle Madonie, poi discesi per oltre 20 minuti sul fianco della valle per una strada sterrata sperduta tra sterminati campi di grano ormai trebbiati e arbusti di finocchino selvatico ai bordi , in mezzo al nulla della campagna siciliana. La masseria, ma sarebbe + equo definirla resort, si apre dietro ad un cancello di ferro , si capisce l'utilizzo contadino originale della costruzione ma appare subito il tratto nobiliare restituito da una ristrutturazione attentamente conservativa in location alberghiera che si puo' definire di lusso. Magnifico e ben mantenuto il parco che la circonda su cui si affacciava la ns junior suite, molto grande , sempre pulitissima , arredata con grande cura in stile moderno ma locale , dotata di grande doccia e con bagno separato dalla zona notte da una grande vetrata. Abbiamo potuto godere della grande piscina ai bordi della tenuta che si affaccia a perdita d'occhio sulla valle intorno a 180 gradi, con annesso cucina con servizio bar/ristorante dove vengono cucinati per la sosta pranzo piatti della tradizione campagnola della Sicilia . La sera ristorante con menu gourmet sempre con selezione di piatti della tradizione sicula rivisitati dalla cucina del resort e serviti nel granaio originale dalle alte volte a crociera della masseria. Nello stesso locale viene servita al mattino una colazione stupefacente per la varieta' e la abbondanza di prodotti locali e dolci preparati freschi dal pasticciere, frutta , marmellate artigianali, succhi e frullati preparati sul momento. Personale della reception gentile e disponibile, sempre sorridente, personale di servizio attento ed efficiente.. Una menzione speciale va al titolare della Masseria che ha trasformato una storica attivita' contadina della famiglia in un incanto di posto dove ha continuato la tradizione di nobilta' contadina evolvendola in un posto di charme e relax di classe. Prezzi non economici ma davvero value for money.

Ok, la masseria est magnifique, la vue est superbe et la région, à un jet de pierre du parc des Madonnie, est incroyable. Les chambres sont belles, grandes et fonctionnelles, la salle du restaurant est canon et le coin piscine très beau aussi. Bref, tous les ingrédients sont réunis pour un séjour de rêve. Mais… TOUT est en supplément et TOUT est absolument hors de prix, c’est à dire aux tarifs parisiens, alors qu’on est à 35 minutes du 1er village habité, en plein milieu de la Sicile. Bon petit dej, avec d’excellents produits de la ferme, mais les œufs sont en extra, à 12€. Pas de machine à café dans les chambres, mais 4€ l’expresso. Pas de de minibar dans les chambres (pour des raisons écologiques, soit disant), mais 5€ la bouteille d’eau, sachant que l’eau sur place n’est pas potable et qu’il fait 40 degrés. Nous n’avons pas souhaité essayer le restaurant, qui propose des « pâtes à la tomate » à 18€ et une glace au citron à 8€ (…!). Mauvais esprit donc, à l’opposé total de l’île et de la région, où nous avons mangé les meilleures pizzas de notre vie à moins de 10€, dans un petit troquet familial formidable dans l’un des villages environnants (Arte Bianca, à Polizzi Generosa). J’ajoute qu’il y a des fientes de pigeon sur les transats, que personne ne remet de serviettes à disposition autour de la piscine, que le ménage des chambres est un peu expéditif et que les tables du petit dej ne sont pas débarrassées en temps utile. En réalité, le service est principalement assuré par des non-professionnels (des étudiants d’été très sympas par ailleurs), ce qui ne correspond ni au standing ni aux prix pratiqués. Enfin, les chambres sont très mal insonorisées, ce qui fait que vous profitez de tous ceux qui parlent ou marchent dehors, mais aussi de la chouette qui hulule entre minuit et 2h (j’aime beaucoup la nature, d’où mon choix de Susafa, mais je ne pensais pas être un jour réveillée par une chouette ou des pigeons). Bref, c’était sensé être le highlight de notre séjour, mais c’est un rendez-vous manqué dans un 4 étoiles qui se prend pour un 5 et qui, vu sa localisation un peu loin de tout, donne une impression désagréable de prise en otage. C’est regrettable, car l’endroit est tellement beau…

Auf dem Weg von Palermo nach Catania haben wir 2 Nächte im Susafa eingebaut. Es hat sich mehr als gelohnt! Die ganze Anlage ist wunderschön gestaltet. Das Personal ist gut ausgebildet und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind sehr gepflegt und sauber. Das Essen war super. Das Frühstück top! Wir konnten uns selten wo so gut entspannen wie hier! Wir kommen wieder!

As I write this review, Nancy is ordering olive oil, flour, and pasta from this self sufficient, organic estate located in the middle of Sicily. We visited Susafa in early May with our friends Mike and Laurie. This fully functional “farm” disguised as a small luxury resort in the country was absolutely magical. The original farm was a commune of enclosed stone buildings. It is difficult to describe the beauty of the converted buildings; barn into dining hall with fireplace; grain storage into bar, wine cellar, and sitting area; stables into bedrooms. The owner, Manfredi, the fourth generation son, lives at Susafa with his family; and their presence throughout the days and evenings provided a feeling of “being at home”. Most of the staff also resides at Susafa; and they were a multinational, gracious, and engaging group. The rooms were comfortable and clean; and the food was spectacular - breakfast, lunch, and supper. The sounds of the country - birds, roosters crowing - greeted us each morning. Days were long and quiet with walks in the garden; and relaxation at the infinity pool overlooking thousands of acres of wheat on the rolling hills. Nights were filled with a sea of stars in the pitch black sky; and glasses of great Sicilian wine by the fireplace. It was a perfect retreat; and we look forward to our next visit. Siamo stati in questa masseria per un matrimonio. Posto immerso nella Sicilia centrale tra campi di grano e paesaggio collinare. Il matrimonio, svolto in uno dei campi di grano dedicati, è risultato bello e particolare. Anche il servizio jeep che ti accompagna al campo, comodissimo. Le pietanze servite a cena molto buone e ben curate alla vista ed al gusto. Unica pecca la poca quantità, senza possibilità di fare il bis, anche il richiedere l’acqua ai pochi camerieri presenti è stato un po’ complicato, in quanto erano proprio gli stessi a dovertela versare nel bicchiere.

The drive and approach to Susafa are is extraordinary. I particularly loved all the wildflowers dotting the sides of the mountain. The reception is excellent and all the staff are well-trained and most kind and professional. Our bedroom, a Junior suite, was very spacious and comfortable. Dinner was marvelous and I,enjoyed meeting the owner who was a most gracious man. I loved taking a hike through the fields of wildflowers. Unfortunately, I did not schedule enough time here. I know the villages in the area are unique and scenic. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Posto incantevole...masseria del 1800 con camere molto ampie, personale sempre disponibile, ottima cucina, il proprietario sempre attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Bellissima esperienza ! Complimenti a loro !

Null Familienfreundlich, wir wurden als Familie vor die Tür gesetzt und mussten Susafa verlassen. In meiner Buchung welche ich anfangs 2023 gebucht habe, stand nirgends vermerkt, dass kleinkinder nicht erlaubt sind. (2022 waren Kinder noch erlaubt) Die Buchung erfolgte via booking für ein Doppelzimmer im wert von 930.00 CHF. Diese "neue" richtlinie, dass Kinder nicht erlaubt sind, wurde uns erst bei der Ankunft mitgeteillt. Am Empfang beim Check-in haben wir explizit nachgefragt ob das nun ein Problem sein sollte? Die vorgesetzte Empfangskraft meinte aber, dass es kein Problem sei und hat uns eingecheckt. Nachdem wir das Zimmer erhalten haben, kam die Mitarbeiterin des Empfangs zu uns (die selbe die uns eingecheckt hat) und hat uns aufgefordert Susafa zu verlassen, aufgrund unseres Sohnes (Da Kinder ja nicht erlaubt sind). Einserseits können wir ja verstehen, dass dies die neuen Richtlinien sind, aber man hätte uns von Afang an nicht einchecken lassen dürfen! Hier, in diesem Fall ein Fehler der Mitarbeiterin des Empfangs! Wir haben extra beim einchecken nachgefragt ob wir etwas anderes suchen sollten, Sie meinte jedoch nein. Als Gäste waren wir leider absolut nicht Willkommen, und so haben wir uns auch gefühlt. Es tut weh wenn man aufgrund eines kleinkindes vor die Tür gestellt wird, ohne Hilfe für eine Alternative. Wir waren auf uns alleine gestellt. Etwas ähnliches in dem kleinen Zeit Fenster zu finden war unmöglich. Bedauerlicherweise hat die Mitarbeiterin am Empfang und der Eigentümmer Manfredi, uns den Urlaub auf Sizilien als Familie versaut! Doch leider ist das noch nicht alles. Beim auschecken wollten Sie den gesamten Betrag für drei Übernachtungen in der Summe vom 930.00 CHF haben, obwohl Sie uns aufgefordert haben zu gehen nicht weil wir gehen wollten! zusätzlich auf booking konnte ich Kostenlos stornieren was Sie aber nicht interessierte. Eine absolute frechheit, dass man in solch einer Situation sogar noch Geld verlangt, statt aus Kulanzgründen den Gästen entgegen zu kommen, was man eigentlich von dieser "gehobener" Struktur erwartet!! Wir sind unglaublich schockiert, enttäuscht und können unseren Wut nicht in Worte fassen, wir sind verletzt und einfach nur sprachlos, dass man uns als Familie Wort Wörtlich vor die Tür gestellt hat. Zwei Tipps für Manfredi (Eigentümer): 1. Bitte schreiben Sie Gross vermerkt "Only Adults from 12Y) und nicht irgendwo als kleingeschriebens!!!! In unserer Buchung stand nichts davon, was ich au Belegen kann. 2. Die vorgesetze des Empfangs ist uns ständig ins Wort gefallen und wollte uns des besseren belehren. Ein Verhalten wir Ihres ist Fehl am Platz bei solch einer gehobener Struktur! Sie sollten Ihre Mitarbeiter besser Schulen! Wir haben nun unseren Rechschutz in diesen Sachverhalt ein bezogen!
