We recently stayed for 4 nights in two bed apartment. The staff here were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. Our 3 and 5 year old absolutely loved the kids club activities and indoor pool. Restaurant on site was excellent - we had multiple meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner. The shop is very reasonably priced for essentials and the golf buggy to help transport the young children to the apartment was excellent. We would highly recommend a stay here as the resort is easy to access and can walk straight onto the beach. The staff and facilities are brilliant and housekeeping standards were exceptional. We’ll definitely be returning.

I had booked the apartment with "Two bedrooms, First Floor, Front Sea View" for six nights. Unfortunately, as you can see in the pictures, the apartment did not live up to our expectations of a sea view. After complaining to the rental agency, I was told that the trees are part of the surroundings and that the sea view may be partially restricted. However, there is no mention of this anywhere on the website. Another apartment with a proper sea view or a reduction in price for the "Partial Sea View" or "Garden" categories was not granted. I find it cheeky how they lure customers in with false images and descriptions. For this money, there are definitely better accommodations that don't make empty promises.

As a guest, I had a wonderful experience at Golden Dunes Beach Club. The atmosphere is relaxing and stylish, surrounded by beautiful golden dunes and stunning ocean views. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The food and drinks were excellent, and the sunsets were absolutely unforgettable. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach.

Absolutely superb accommodation in an idyllic setting beside the beach . Our apartment was second line with lovely side sea views and roof terrace with superb sea views . Reception staff super efficient and always eager to help and very friendly. The apartment was beautifully furnished and on excellent condition. Will definitely be back and couldn’t recommend strongly enough .

We have been here a lot, almost every year for the last 10 years. We love the apartments and the area but there are some things that have really annoyed me in the last couple of trips that I’ve resisted complaining about until now. The service in the restaurant is almost always too slow. They are not attentive enough and often leave you waiting for long periods where nobody checks if you need anything meaning you end up standing up and approaching them. Today we ordered lunch and it took 40 minutes to make two wraps with some fries. The coffee they serve in the bar is abysmal, €4.35 for a Latte which only half-fills an already tiny cup, on top of this it’s from a Nespresso machine, so you’re not paying a premium because a skilled barista made it for you, it’s just a rip off opportunity. If the coffee were €2 it might be acceptable but otherwise it really isn’t. There’s a lot of things in disrepair, there are sunken tiles by the stairs to the pool, there are missing cobbles all over the resort which are trip hazards. The sun shade in our apartment is broken. The resort can arrange a car to drop you to and from restaurants etc. they are much more expensive that Uber but if you want door to door service they are your only choice as the resort security do not permit Uber or other services to drop you to your apartment door. This is ok if the weather is good but if it’s windy and/or raining and you have small kids it’s not really ok. The little shop/mercado is great as a convenience, but some things are also very overpriced. €5.50 for a small box of berries, €5 for an ice cream cone. Overall I still like the place, but all of these little things erode the 5-star experience and certainly make me unlikely to recommend it to anyone and over time make me feel less enthused about coming back. I hope someone at the resort reads this and takes some action on these things.

We had my 60th birthday meal with 18 of us on Saturday afternoon. The food was amazing the staff were awesome and the music added to the atmosphere and made it the perfect place to celebrate.Beatriz was so helpful in helping to arrange everything before we got there and the staff were so friendly and attentive.

Have been coming here for years now and gets better every time. It has a special place in me and my family’s heart. The pool is very good and the services available at this hotel is fantastic. The reception are fabulous and help you to settle in and make the goodbyes of this resort a little bit less worse. The rooms are clean and function well. They also have a very good design. I recommend getting a room with a jacuzzi and a room that is fairly central if you have kids. The restaurant is very good and very nice to go to for drinks, a pool side milkshake or an evening meal. The staff from the lifeguards to the bartender to the cleaners they are all exceptional and I want them to be thanked for their efforts. I recommend visiting Maria’s Restaurant which is on the beach directly opposite the hotel and accessible via a gate which is opened by your room key. The whole hotel is enclosed and patrolled by security 24/7 there are also many great things for kids to do such as play on the grass, swim or play many different sports on the grass. There is a shop which sells fresh goods and many different drinks and food. If you don’t want to go to the restaurant each room has a functional kitchen which comes with a BBQ outside. I love this resort and I am definitely coming back soon!

This was our third stay here and it couldn’t have been better. Fabulous accommodation (decoratively perhaps in need of some modernisation!), great pool area, extremely comfy sunbeds, amazing staff - they can’t do enough for you, brilliant position across from the beach. We have had a relaxing and hugely enjoyable holiday. Already looking forward to next year’s visit. Thank you to everyone there for making it so wonderful.

We had a wonderful relaxing, fun holiday here. Our kids loved the pool and other facilities. Our apartment, whilst a decent walk from the club was spacious, comfortable and kept really clean. Service from the team was impeccable. It really felt like a five star experience. We cannot wait to come back.

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean well equipped close to the beach. There was an issue in our apartment and it is something that should be reviewed in all of the accommodations at DDBC and that is window blind cord safety. There were several loose window blind cords in our apartment that represent a potential cause of serious injury to small children. We familiarised ourselves in the apartment and did our own ‘baby proofing’ however others may not or may not notice this detail. As per EU guidance EN 13120:2009+A1:2014 window blind cords need to be secured.
