瑪格麗塔宮酒店(Palazzo Margherita)

I booked a 2 night stay at this property. The day we got there we set our luggage in the apartment and went to explore Postino for the day. When we came back one of the rooms was loaded with ants! They ended up getting into our luggage, it was awful. I had my wife and two daughters who were really upset about the experience so we left that night and needed to book a different location. The owner apologized and said they would provide a refund, but never did after numerous requests. I have a video that I intend to post but not sure if I can on this site? Very disappointing! Do not stay here!

We booked the Praiano and San Sebastiano apartments to accommodate my family for a trip to Positano to celebrate my sister's 50th Birthday. To start, the communication from Mauro was excellent. He promptly answered all of my questions and emails, and when we learned that their boat, La Squalo, was not large enough for our party, he was able to connect us with (and help us with the booking) of another boat through Luxury Boats Positano for a day trip to Capri which was fantastic. He also arranged to have chilled Prosecco in our room on arrival as well as a delicious birthday cake on the boat which was a great treat. He will also offer to stock your room with some groceries if you would like the service - it is only a mere 50 meters from the apartments so we did it ourselves. The view from the apartments is incredible - beautiful sunrises and sunsets everyday! It is a walk down to the beach with many stairs, but after the first set of stores on the way back up, you can walk along the road instead to make it a bit easier (and the walk is beautiful), just a small stretch where you have to be very aware of the cars. The kitchen and washer are not very big, but enough for what was needed for our stay. The air conditioning was a welcome treat as it was unseasonably warm for October. This is an older building, so the water pressure was not great (and one of the showers quite small) but to be expected in an older property. When we had any issues (plumbing, electrical, needed towels), Mauro was very prompt and responsive and had things resolved quickly for us. There is also the ability to pay for parking if you have arrived with your own vehicle, and as the property is on the road, there are no outdoor stairs you need to take your luggage up or down, just the few flights os stairs to get to your apartment (and there are a few main floor apartments with no stairs you can book). The best thing about our stay was working with Mauro. Not only was he very helpful organizing ahead of our arrival, when we arrived with no dinner reservations for our larger party, he was able to secure dinner two nights in a row for us though his connections, and this was a life saver. He met us at check in and check out to help with traffic while we parked and unloaded/unloaded our vehicles. I would be more than happy to recommend Palazzo Margherita for the service you receive considering the value of the accommodations compared to many in Positano that are very expensive.

Eccellente!! Un palazzo elegante , ben ristrutturato con appartamenti spaziosi e comodi. Mantiene il decor della costiera con maioliche dai colori vivaci secondo la tradizione della costiera amalfitana. Che dire della vista mozzafiato!!! L’appartamento aveva un balcone lungo e spazioso che affacciava sia sul mare sia sulla montagna. Non potevamo avere una vista migliore! Posizione 10 e lode! Sul balcone C’era un tavolo con delle sedie e anche 2 sdraie. Un appartamento molto pulito e ogni giorno passa la signora delle pulizie e cambia anche gli asciugamani . Ogni stanza ha l’aria condizionata , c’è la lavatrice , un frigo grande , la tv e una cucina ad angolo cottura. La posizione è ottima! Nel corridoio c’era il depuratore domestico per l’acqua e offriva anche ghiaccio . L’edificio si trova 10 Minuti dalla spiaggia e marina grande e 5 minuti dal centro. Accanto al palazzo c’è la fermata e degli autobus e anche un piccolo supermercato. Complimenti a Mauro, il host, che è una persona gentilissima , sorridente e sempre disponibile . Ha organizzato il taxi privato da Napoli a positano e ci ha accolti con un gran sorriso! Grazie di tutto!

This hotel was fantastic. Beautiful views, large terrace, clean, and amazing service. Close to a small grocery and centrally located (lots of stairs- as it is Positano). I would book this hotel again if (hopefully when) coming back to Positano.

This was a mistake and we have learned our lesson. First, the good. It is centrally located, a 10 minute walk down stairs to the port area. The terrace has a fantastic view of the town and sea. High ceilings and a large bathroom. There is a market for food items steps from the door. The bad. There was paint chips from the walls on the floor of the kitchen; cracks not filled, and water stains on the ceiling. Some of the tiles were also cracked. The bathroom is accessible from the outside terrace for the person sleeping on the fold out couch, otherwise, going through the master bedroom. The ugly. As the ferry terminal is down so many steps, it isn’t practical to get luggage there, so as we were going to Sorrento, we opted for a taxi. The man at the desk proposed a Mercedes, we communicated that was unnecessary and just needed taxi service. He argued that it would be the same. We knew differently. We asked him to contact a taxi and he handed us the phone. It was an unpleasant experience. The guy no doubt receives a commission. We walked down to the taxi stand and booked a much less expensive ride. It was his attitude that was confrontational and off putting. All the other towns we stayed were staffed by more professionals.

Amazing stay, which was made perfect thanks to Mauro in the reception, He is fantastic and very accommodating. We stayed there for 1 week and our family and friends rented out some other apartments in the same complex. thanks Pat

This property has a great view of hotels and sea. Be prepared to walk many many steps. Lots of shopping as you go down towards beach. Eat at the restaurants that are away from beach.

The hotel engages in a practice to retain deposits. WE made a booking error which was recognized within 10 minutes of booking through ***********. The hotel REFUSES to refund the reservation and will not allow changes. This is disgusting business practice and I would AVOID this hotel due to their HORRIBLE customer service and business practices. I have been trying to resolve this for almost 1 month with zero response from the hotel.

I had booked the Mulini Apartment 11 months in advance of our expected stay last week. This is a three bedroom 80 square meter apartment on the top floor with an extensive sweeping terrace that runs the whole length of the building. When we arrived for our stay, the concierge pulled out a key and I could see it said something other than Mulini. I reminded him that we had reserved the Mulini apartment and he pretended to know nothing about that and said he'd been "told" to put us in the Galli apartment and that the Mulini apartment was occupied by other guests. I reminded him that I had a confirmation for the Mulini apartment and that I had referenced the Mulini apartment frequently in my email conversations with him directly. In fact, I had a 6 string email conversation with him during August in which the subject line for every email was "my last name stay in Mulini apartment" He pretended ignorance and said we had been given the Galli apartment FOR THE SAME PRICE. The Galli apartment is a 2 bedroom 44 square meter rather dark apartment with a small balcony/terrace and a small communal eating/kitchen area. Possibly suitable for a family, but definitely not what we had wanted or reserved for two couples and in no way equivalent to the Mulini apartment. We refused this bait and switch and were very fortunate that the Hotel Eden Roc had a cancellation on their 2 bedroom apartment. We went there and had a lovely stay, but I am still sad and disappointed that we did not get what we had reserved and confirmed multiple times at the Palazzo Margherita. BEWARE!
