Vicky was very helpful in accommodating us, resulting in a very pleasant stay. Comfortable beds and very cosy room, having a fridge and kettle also a bonus. 3 pubs in close proximity a plus, the manager at Slanty Lees is an excellent singer. The only recommendation (hard to work round) would be to have a drying room and some more hanging space. Did I notice a planning application to build some more amenities?

Me and my partner were so so grateful for Vicki's hospitality. We'd been staying at Great Langdale campsite when a storm hit and our tent didn't hold up against the rain. We had gone to the local pub to see if there would be any rooms on the off chance but with it being Summer and very last minute, they couldn't accommodate. The pub's maintenance man quickly got in touch with Vicki who kindly got us sorted with an available space in the bunk house. We were so grateful to have a clean room, with lovely powerful warm showers and a bed to rest our heads. Easy access and prompt communication made it super smooth for us to get into the bunk house and get dry and rested. We would definitely stay again.

Everything you need after a day in the hills. Great location, warm, clean and cheap.

Please do not book to stay here. I booked through Airbnb to stay last night and paid in advance. I was contacted at 4pm on the day I was due to stay to tell me my booking was cancelled and I could not stay. I was at the time in Lancaster visiting the uni with my daughter. Absolutely shocking to be put on this position. I was told it was an Airbnb error but surely someone should have realised this before 4pm on the day of the stay.

A great little bunkhouse A great room for 6 people. Clean. Good shower and toilets. Great location next to mountains and pubs.

Only bunk beds nothing else there in rooms . No table . The shared bathroom's were flooded.

I usually stay on the campsite or at the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel when in Great Langdale. But with it being December, a tad chilly for camping and also the ODG hotel shut for Xmas, I gave this place a try. I had thoroughly read the website and knew what to expect. It was as described but I couldn't help being really pleased at how warm it was. There was a major wind storm outside and I slept through much of it, in total warmth and peace and quiet. If you are just looking for somewhere warm to get your head down whilst exploring the beautiful Great Langdale, I highly recommend this place.

We booked this bunkhouse for a trip to Scaffell Pike in Early October 2023 we had 6 of us in one room on 3 bunkbeds. The arrival was planned and door code and room code sent prior to arrival. There was a small fridge in the room which was great. Wash room was clean and tidy however would have been better with hand dryer as water just went all over the floor. Additional towel rail or small shelf would be helpful in shower room. The accommodation was well heated and no issues with drying wet clothes. Additional lighting outside main door would have been helpful, maybe sensor light.
