Perfectly adequate stay, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast made the stay good value for money. Paid parking is nearby and it’s only £1 after 8pm. The main negative is that the WiFi wasn’t working and signal is not great in Ambleside. We didn’t eat at the Temperance Inn as there are a lot of great restaurants to choose from in Ambleside.

It is a very nice house but the service was not good.
The room are small and you need to carry your suitcase on the stiars.
The parking is paid parking.
We didn't uderstand why this place got a great rate (9+) as it not great and the check in and check out were so confused and unfriendly even after they found that they made a mistake twice.

We couldn’t fault the staff or the hotel. The rooms were brand new, decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was no on-site parking but round the corner if you got a free parking disc from any shop or pub you could park for free from 1800-1000.

Stayed here for a wedding in nearby grasmere. Great location, parking nearby and not overpriced, (£17 for 3 days). Breakfast was lovely. Really clean and staff very friendly and attentive

Great place, all staff were friendly and helpful.
Only downside that we had to park away from hotel, however they let us park out front for and hour to unload our bags.
