The staff were very friendly at this hotel and the breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend it if you are in the area.

A very restful stay awaited us only 15 minutes away after our day at Stonehenge. The en-suite room was beautiful. We learned it was a lobby in the former girls school. High ceilings, beautiful decor, very comfortable bed, and modern bathroom. I love staying in a historic place that has charm of years ago. The Staff was very helpful in pointing us in direction of a great restaurant within walking distance very close by. Although our room faced the street, it was very quiet. Breakfast the next day was absolutely wonderful with many choices and all of it delicious. The decor for the breakfast area was very pretty too and provided a great start to our day. We were so full, we didn't eat again until dinner. I highly recommend this lovely historic B&B.

Big mistake doing away with the cooked breakfast. It was a great feature previously. Quality produce well presented. The new continental is a poor comparison in a tiny space. Also I booked and paid for the room with no notification of the change of ownership and breakfast offering. Doubt I will be back unless it returns.

We stayed overnight at Fairlawn in a very comfortable, well appointed room. Quite a lot of stairs and no lift, which was difficult for my husband, but worth the effort. Parking is a short walk away. Plenty of places nearby to have an evening meal, we chose The George Hotel. Our breakfast at Fairlawn was excellent, lots of choice, very pleasant staff in a basement restaurant. We would recommend this nice, well run hotel to anyone. and hope to return soon.

The smell on entering was awful, we had to go onto the high street and buy a defuser just to freshen up the damp smell. We were given one of the annex rooms, round the back, through the ****s, the cobwebs on the inside and outside of the door were a warning sign for sure. Holes in the walls and stains on the carpet covered up by a rug. The Shower had black mould and the skylight window was covered in green. Then there was the smell of the local takeaway wafting through the open skylight followed by their early morning burning of waste, but you needed the window open to handle the damp smell. The bed was old and tired, the cobwebs were a feature on the walls and the lights etc. We skipped breakfast to avoid further disappointment. Please try THE GEORGE across the street, they have just refurbished, plus they have parking on site. Avoid or ask for a room in the main house if not!

Only stayed for one night, in a very comfy and good sized family room in the rear annex it was very and clean and well presented, the room was at the back of the main house so it was lovely and quiet, the helpful information folder provided in our room gave lots of suggestions for local places to eat which we found very handy thank you Breakfast was fantastic, piping hot and very tasty, thumbs up from all of us Staff were all very lovely and we even had a visit from the friendly cat 🐈 Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again Thank you for a lovely stay

Lovely staff, a great breakfast, and a great location. The team there went all out to make sure my family and I were well-catered for and had all we needed throughout our stay. I cannot recommend them enough.

What a wonderful traditionl B&B set in the heart of Amesbury, with free parking nearby, it is the perfect place to stay to go and explore the ancient countryside and history of Wiltshire. The warm welcome feom Tracy and Keith was second to none, with nothing too much tro8ble. The rooms are nicely appointed and during the hot weather fans were provided. The gem is the breakfast room and breakfast, the menu caters for everyone and the food, whether a full english or salmon and eggs is firat class. This is the must stay location in Amesbury with out doubt!
