皮特海恩酒店(Hotel Piet Hein)

Clean hotel on a quiet street very close to museums and city center. Beautiful park across the street. Rooms are very tiny, not as represented in pictures. The first room had no door on the bathroom! I was sharing a room with my adult son so this was awkward. If you were sitting in the room you could see the person sitting on the toilet. There was no other room available and it was late so made it work. The next day the staff was kind enough to let us change rooms, this one was even smaller but had a door on the toilet. There was no door on the alcove with the shower. We didn't have any other options, no hotels in the area had any availability so we stayed there for the next 3 nights. There was a TV but you had to "cast" from your own device. We figured this out but the resulting picture was unwatchable. I know we weren't there to watch TV, but I like to unwind with a little TV at the end of the day. The location made this place acceptable

This place has everything you’ll need during your stay in Amsterdam. Ideal for young people who want to stay close to the attractions. Great restaurants in the neighborhood. The staff was really nice. Sonder gave us a discount because we booked directly in the Sonder app!

El hotel es promedio y su ubicación es muy linda. Es a 15 del centro caminando. Las marcas de lujo están a una cuadra. La habitación linda, La ducha es muy buena, pero desperdician mucha agua. El toillete es muy pequeño y se cierra la puerta y parece que está uno encerrado. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba correctamente. Te cobran el servicio de limpieza 30 euros por día, una locura. No lo decía cuando lo contratamos. El servicio del hotel no es bueno, la gente del front desk hacen lo mínimo para ayudarte. Es un hostel con dos estrellas más. La experiencia estuvo bien pero no se si volvería.

Great hotel, looks just like the pictures! The lounge area upon entering the hotel is spacious enough and very comfortable. The location next to the one the Vondelpark entrances is great! And two tram lines connect closely the location. Leidseplein is a 5 min walk away and so is museum plein. I recommend to take the tram from Leidseplein if you’re heading in the direction of the city center. Leidseplein tram stop also offers many other destination bedsides the city center. The lounge and work area downstairs is great to get some work in. One small downside, we received two towels each, one large and one smaller one. However we didn’t receive any floor mats for the bathroom and water from the shower easily runs throughout the bathroom after a shower. We only stayed one night so it was no problem for us, but just bare in mind the floor might get wet. It is no complaint because the staff was friendly and I am absolutely sure that houd cleaning would take care of it if your stay is longer or upon request. I highly recommend the place!

El hotel no estaba mal, bonito edificio y hall en un exclusivo barrio, cerca de los museos y tranvías y bus al aeropuerto, pero la habitación era muy pequeña, no llegaba el wifi y la limpieza es un coste extra

Paid £300 + per night and was shown to a room/ cupboard in the basement, barely bigger than the bed. Was moved to a better room, still sp****, where you were expected to get towels and loo paper when needed from a cupboard at reception. Also required to book room cleaning 24 hrs in advance. A really poor experience despite the lovely staff employed there. Felt like a youth hostel posing as a hotel.

Close to trams and museums. Nice folks. Rooms are large enough. The common areas are large and comfortable. It was nice to get free lattes from the barista. The rooms had some wear/tear; door frame dings, wall marks, etc. Could use some paint.

Lovely hotel. Great for short city breaks - rooms small but this is expected for city break hotels. Large bay windows looking out onto Vondelpark. Lovely large bed which was really comfy. TV didn’t work which was a shame but luckily we weren’t in the room that much. 25-30min walk into main centre but restaurants and bars closer for an evening. Rooms had coffee/tea maker, only minor problem was no milk - was noted in the room as creamer powder and personally not keen on this.

Sonder Park House is in a great location, but depending on the room you stay in your experience will vary widely. I had booked a deluxe king room, and it was located in the front basement of the building, with windows looking at peoples' feet on the sidewalk. A few small complaints that wouldn't matter on their own, but overall made for a miserable time: - room was large, but the bathroom was super tiny and squished with no place to put toiletries and the typical open Euro shower so the whole floor gets wet. - it was rainy when I was there and the room smelled SO MUSTY, I could hardly sleep the smell had seeped into the pillows and sheets. Every time I returned I was greeted with overwhelming dank basement smell. - the mirrors in the room were too tall for me to use (at 5'5 I could only see my forehead! what is the point!) - the wifi was incredibly slow in this room, 3mpbs download speed, basically unusable They were able to rebook me in a different room for my last night (they were fully booked for my first two), and it was an absolute night and day change in experience. The new room was still in the basement but faced the back garden, no musty smell, the bathroom was normal hotel-sized with a tub to keep water in, the wifi came in at 25 mbps download speed, and overall it was incredible. If I had been in this room the whole time, my stay would have been five stars, but Room 102 should just not be offered as a deluxe option, it should be bottom-of-the-barrel discount prices and only offered to guests if absolutely necessary.
