老荷蘭酒店(Hotel Old Dutch - Newly Renovated)

Dit moet zowat de minst aangename hotelervaring van ons leven geweest zijn. De kamer was netjes maar zeer basic. Vooral de badkamer is aan renovatie toe. Geen aparte douche. Hang aub een spatwand aan het bad om te vermijden dat de hele badkamer onder water komt wanneer je nog maar je arm beweegt. Qua geluidsisolatie is er ook werk aan de winkel. Wanneer iemand in de aanpalende of bovenliggende kamers, water laat stromen, de wc doortrekt of een douche neemt, is het alsof het in je eigen kamer is. Ik zou vermijden om hier in het weekend te verblijven, vooral wanneer er ’s nachts om 2u een bende dronken voetbalsupporters de gang op stelten zet. Reactie van het personeel: “Tja mevrouw, het was voetbal!” Tijdens onze t****e nacht idem dito. Deze keer tussen middernacht en 3u een onophoudelijke stroom van slaande deuren, geklop op de deuren en heen en weer geloop. Was er deze keer misschien een kamer-rally van de landelijke vrouwengilde waar we niets van afwisten? Dat je wat straatlawaai hebt van op de dijk, dat neem je er bij. Dat was uiteindelijk nog het minst erge, maar dat je ’s nachts je hotel op stelten zet, vind ik maar weinig respectvol. Tuurlijk mag je uitgaan en plezier maken. Dat moet! Maar gedraag je zodra je de hoteldeur binnen stapt. Ontbijt kon beter. Slappe croissants op zaterdag, flauwe roereieren (duidelijk gemaakt met vloeibaar eigeel) tip: voeg wat melk of room toe en uw roereieren zullen honderd keer meer karakter hebben. Afgebakken broodjes, eveneens flauw. Op zondag geen croissants. Enkel twee soorten brood en muffins.” Neen, mevrouw, de bakker levert niet op zondag”. Are you kidding me? Tip: zorg voor een plan B, lees: andere bakker of bak zelf croissants af, maar zorg dan dat wat u presenteert een beetje krokant is en er op zijn minst vers uit ziet. Het spijt ons, maar het was hier echt niet aangenaam. En dat heb ik zo bij het vertrek vermeld. Helaas hadden we indruk dat er geen echt management in het hotel aanwezig was die inzat met de gasten. Je wandelt het hotel uit en 'they just don’t care'. Op naar andere gasten. Jammer.

Mooie ruime kamer had er een met zeezicht. Was helaas erg warm die dag maar gelukkig konden de ramen tegen elkaar open zo dat het beetje verkoelde. Bed sliep fantastisch lekker ruim. Het enigste min punt vond ik het douche gordijn. Ontbijt was goed.

Terrasje gaan doen. Als je zin hebt in een Latte Macchiato,ga dan als het heel kalm is. Als het te druk is willen ze het niet maken. Thee citroen? Hebben ze niet, is toch gewone thee met stukje citroen,niet? En in de keuken kunnen ze niet tellen. Warme hapjes besteld, 10 stuks. Lagen er maar 9 op.

The hotel is i a great spot however I believe rooms recently refurbished- and our room was style over substance - first no drawers only open shelving and one with door that we used for underwear! Open wardrobe with awkward too high hangars - lighting was very poor and only two sockets one near mirror needed unplug lamp to use also no bin in be room just in bathroom - small step up Into bathroom felt like trip Hazard - no storage in bathroom just edge of sink so stuff kept falling in sink - gap under sink need storage and maybe a chair although that means mirror too high - on plus side bed really comfortable nice bedding view beautiful but we paid extra for that breakfast good and general ambiance in hotel very nice - hope this is useful feedback - just need a a few tweaks

This is a hotel which has rooms of three star quality, as there should be, but the mentality of a hostel! It is true that the inclusions of the room don't mention a tea coffee kettle, but at the price level of nearly USD 200/ night, this is not something one would expect to check while booking! But this hotel does not offer that basic convenience. They want you to go down to the restaurant and buy it, so you must change before you can have a morning coffee! Breakfast is pretty basic too, with not even a toaster to warm up your bread. The bathroom amenities are the cheapest quality too and most limited. No cream. No conditioner. No hand tissue. The weather gets quite warm in the summer but there is no cooling provision in the rooms, whereas the bedding provided is the same as the winter. One cannot open the window because of street noise. Check out is 11am and this is the FIRST time ever, a hotel refused to extend it even by 20min!! For no real reason, except attitude. Bearing in mind the price point, it was a very unpleasant experience. The access to the hotel by car is confusing and when we arrived, we called the hotel for the access and we were told that it mentions on their website that there is no car access, which is, however, not mentioned on ***********. So we walked with our luggage for almost half a kilometer to reach the hotel.

Hotel Old Dutch offered a comfortable way to finish our week in the Netherlands before returning to the airport. The hotel overlooks the main drag adjacent to the marina and can be noisy at night until things quiet down. Upper floor rooms will have a ceiling that has some funky configurations and beams to whack your head on; stay below the 3rd floor. The breakfast was satisfying. There are many shops within a short walk, including a place to rent bicycles (which we did.) The beds were comfortable and, once the partying on the street subsided, the night was quiet. We hotel is a short walk from the bus stop, providing a convenient way to get there from Amsterdam Central. We'd come back.

Prima hotel. Zeer nette kamers en centraal gelegen, op loopafstand van de gratis parkeerplaats. Het ontbijt is ook prima om de dag mee te beginnen. Vriendelijke medewerkers, een aanrader voor iedereen die naar Volendam wil gaan voor een leuk weekendje weg.

Hotel tipico nel pieno centro di volendam e con vista mare. Camere spaziose e accoglienti , bagno e materassi migliorabili. Servizio veloce e efficiente. Consigliato per passare una notte in una location suggestiva. Rapporto qualità prezzo buono

Nette ontvangst, zeer vriendelijke, vooral lokale medewerkers, ruime slaapkamer (302). Helaas zonder airco, wel drie ramen die open kunnen. Lekker diner menu. Prijs prestatie is optimaal en locatie aan de have is al helemaal geweldig.
