Great customer service room was very clean and everything was working great

I was very disappointed with the Holiday Inn for a few reasons. Primarily the phone in my room didn’t work. I plugged it in and unplugged, still didn’t work. I struggled (because I use a cane) to move furniture but was unable to fix the connection at the wall. - couldn’t call the front desk to report the problem, get a wake up call, or find out if there was a pool, exercise room or restaurant. I wasn’t told or given that information at checkin nor was it available in my room. I spoke with the manager before I wrote a negative review, he apologized- not satisfactory, a complimentary stay would have given Holiday Inn a second chance to show quality. I’m staying in Ann Arbor 25 more times/ doctor appointments, will choose a different location.

The hotel was super clean - and I like how they gave actual shampoo and soap instead of the little bottles. The front desk was so helpful and available at any time for check in and out. They were great in recommending restaurants too. Nice pool and workout center. I would stay there again. Beds were very comfortable and the room had good space.

Despite having a paid reservation, when we arrived, we were told our room was not available (reception claimed all the rooms were taken up by electricians fixing the power outages in the area). It took 20 minutes of arguing before we were finally given a room (not what we had reserved and paid for in advance).

There was an issue with our payment. We paid thru this app but it didn’t show on our account. We spent 20 min getting it fixed at check in and they still charged us again when we left. We had to call for a credit.

We were there Christmas Eve, and were impressed by the friendly desk staff. We were surprised that there was a full hot breakfast available in the restaurant on Christmas morning. The cook was also the server and went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience.
