Important tip number 1- Book your parking in advance. They have a small lot close to the hotel but it fills up so please make sure to book your parking. We did and it was super convenient. This is a wonderful hotel and each and every member of their staff makes you feel comfortable. They also offer good restaurant recommendations. We stayed their for 3 nights and everything was perfect. The room was large with lots of closet space. This is the place to be if you are visiting Aix. The location is great and it is very close to the big fountain.

I have been at Villa Gallici the first time and had to leave after three days to another hotel, due to some pre-reservations. Arrived at the other hotel, I missed Villa Gallici from the first second on. The staff is of incredible warmth and the place gives you the feeling of staying in a private house with the hosts really being interested in your thoughts and well-being rather than just seeing it as a job. I had the impression of true passion and the special and unique character of the house underline the impression. The location of the Villa is also exceptionally good and lets you walk to all major sights within approx. ten minutes, very convenient in a city like Aix, where most of the old town is restricted for cars. All in all it was a pleasant and positive surprising stay that I have not expected and I can’t wait to come back!!!
This was our second stay at Villa Saint Ange, and I'm disappointed to say it will definitely be our last. We stayed here a couple years ago on our honeymoon, and while we had a few small issues with the service, the gorgeous grounds, immaculate room, and great location merited a return stay. Unfortunately, our return trip was much worse than the first. First, the good: the hotel is still gorgeous, and the pool is still lovely. The location is great - a short walk will bring you right to Cours Mirabeau. The restaurant is newly overseen by Pierre Gagnaire, and is still nice (though honestly no better than under the previous chef). We had two main issues this trip: our room, and the lack of service recovery when we had an issue with it. Our room was located at the front of the hotel overlooking the street. It was very nicely appointed, but as we learned at about 5-6am every single morning, it has a glaring issue: noise. Each morning, a symphony of garbage trucks, delivery vehicles, and other service vehicles absolutely bombarded our room with noise. While any room facing the street is likely a bit noisy, our room in particular was RIGHT above the hotel's loading bay, meaning 5am deliveries to the restaurant were unacceptably loud. The many antique floor-to-ceiling windows in the room were beautiful, but absolutely worthless noise insulators. We mentioned this issue to the staff, who seemed unsurprised by the complaint, and also offered nothing more than a fairly insincere apology. That said, it's not the responsibility of a hotel's receptionist to resolve hotel layout problems - it's the responsibility of management/ownership. This is not the only review to mention this issue, which means management/ownership knows this is a problem and simply does not care. This is also not an inexpensive room - it's actually a Superior category room, and thus commands a price of nearly $1,000/night. My advice to the owner of this hotel: this room cannot be a guest room. The location is not acceptable for a bedroom, and charging this much money for such a substandard room is a bad look. Convert the room to a library, parlor, utility closet - anything but a bedroom. Other consistent, easily-remedied feedback in guest reviews (most notably, lack of coffee maker in the rooms) has been ignored by management, so this likely will be as well.
One of the most unforgettable experience in my life! The hotel is beautiful situated! Our room is modern and clean! I enjoyed having a stroll in the beautiful garden! It was amazing to have wine tasting and Michelin starred dinner in the hotel. The entire experience was exclusive! I enjoyed staying in this chateau hotel with my husband. It’s one of the highlights in our honeymoon trip.
We had such a special visit at the chateau to celebrate a special anniversary. Clément and Sarah made us feel at home and the Spanish suite is pure luxury. The whole chateau is warm and welcoming and extra touches like beautiful Occitane bath products made the 5 star experience. The location is perfect for visiting Provence. Clément suggested a hike to the top of St Victoire which was stunning. We also had a wonderful day in Cassis visiting the different coves there. Cannot recommend highly enough!
訪訪客This business needs a huge overhaul. It is unacceptable to rob guests with such terrible accommodation. I had booked 10 days in this place. Upon my arrival after a long trip with my heavy backpack, the receptionist ignored me as I waited for her to greet me. What a greeting! 'You will need to bring your rubbish in the bin before you leave; you will be given fresh linen in four days; you need to sign in to the internet every time you use it; you will need to do the dishes before you leave' etc...No welcome words, only orders. I felt I was signing in to jail! I have been in hostels in the past, am well travelled and I manage my expectations, but this was far worse than any hostel, airbnb, hotel, or residence I have ever been to. Upon entering my studio - I would not call it an apartment, I found the shower head dirty, the wastebasket dirty, the walls bare of any decor except for a cheap frame. There was only ONE plastic hanger in the closet, with all the others broken. In the kitchen, there was a 2oz bottle of washing detergent and not much at all, not even a coffee maker, just a kettle. There was only one roll of toilet paper for my 10 day stay. No one was ever at the reception except early in the mornings. You could not reach anyone in the afternoon or evening. When I ran out of toilet paper, I asked on my way out to have a few rolls dropped in my room. Upon my return that night, nothing. Luckily I met some guests who were sitting outside (equally unhappy with the residence), who saved me and were most kind, bringing me a roll. When the next morning I asked for toilet paper again, after having left a note at the unstaffed reception desk, I was finally given some. But fresh towels after 4 days? The response was ”well, I don't know, I have to ask my colleague...” I could not believe the staff's attitude. I was happily able to find a place 8 days later and could not leave soon enough. (Unfortunately, in high season and at the last minute, accommodations are nearly impossible to find in Aix.)
Very comfortable hotel, everything worked ok in the room, tv, kettle, fridge, shower with good hot water. Everything was very clean and convenient. It also had a kitchenette with pans, pots, cutlery and crockery. Hotel is located right at the heart of the Village, walking distance to everything!. Special thanks to the reception staff that were super nice and Friendly. I stayed in Room 207, where there was zero noise from the street. Thanks!.🙂
Worst hotel we ever stayed in. First we had to wait 2 hours to be checked in. The bed in our room was a pull out couch. There was nowhere close by to get food and no receptionist on to ask . We went to bed hungry. The place is far away from any emienities. We where scheduled to stay for 3 nights after our cruise but we decided to cancel. Even our taxi driver was shocked that we were staying so far out.
