Spacious comfortable room with basic kitchenette, balcony with great views. Surrounding gardens beautiful. Quiet location. Lovely river to swim in at the bottom of the property. Small pool. Great hosts. We would definitely return.

Lolita, fille de Dave Parker, chanteur de nos jours à la retraite, nous a emmenés en voiture à l'écolodge à partir de son bureau à Apia, situé juste en face du marché Fugalei. Alors que nous prenions un avion à 5h15 du matin, elle a réservé un taxi pour nous à 2h15. Elle veillait pour s'assurer qu'il viendrait bien. Comme ce n'a pas été le cas - il ne s'était pas réveillé - elle lui a téléphoné et fixé un rendez-vous à quelques kilomètres pour nous faire gagner du temps où elle nous a emmenés en voiture. Nous avons d'autant apprécié cette disponibilité que nous aurions raté sinon non seulement notre avion mais nos correspondances ensuite. L'écolodge et son environnement sont merveilleux. Nous avons non seulement apprécié la vue fantastique depuis la terrasse de notre chambre et celle du restaurant, mais aussi la piscine et notre balade dans la forêt primaire en contrebas et vers les deux cascades à proximité. Nous nous sommes baignés avec plaisir dans un des deux bassins naturels. L'ensemble du jardin est très bien entretenu avec de nombreuses fleurs. Les repas étaient très bons. L'ensemble est incroyablement bon marché. A ne pas manquer lors d'un séjour à Samoa !

The day before we arrived, we were told by email we would not be staying at Dave Parker Eco Lodge due to flood damage (floods were the week earlier on Savaii ie the other Island). Another hotel was arranged for us in Apia which we needed to make our own arrangements to get to. We had asked for a shuttle to pick us up. Two days before arrival we queried the amount, which was $55USD ($150 tala). The taxi we got to the other hotel was $80 tala. The other hotel had no pool and there was a lot of road noise as it was on the main road into Apia. Traffic noise 5am - 10:30pm. Our reason for choosing Dave Parker's was for the quiet and the views. Instead, we got loud traffic noise and views of a busy road. Dave Parker charged our credit card the same amount although we got substantially inferior accommodation. We drove past Dave Parker's, there was no obvious work being done to the road. We wondered if our late bump from the guest list was for querying the inflated shuttle fare and because it is a family run hotel. It was busy in Apia when we arrived, and family run will give preference to family and friends. For a quiet budget friendly hotel without the road noise yet in a very convenient location I would recommend Hotel Millenia where we stayed later in our trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at here and wished we could have stayed longer. It has a nice family feel about it. We got a free ride into Apia every morning with the lovely Lotita on her way to work. My favourite time was returning to DPE in the evening and enjoying a cup of coffee and looking down at the bright lights of Apia. Thank you for an amazing stay

My wife and stayed at the Dave Parker Eco Lodge for 5 days in September 2025. Although the rooms were not modern, they were very spacious, and spotlessly clean. With a very powerful air conditioner. The location of the lodge is superb, right-on top of a mountain ridge. The view from the balcony of our room was spectacular and overlooked virgin rainforest, the sunsets were even more spectacular. Lolita who manages the lodge was truly amazing, she went out of her way to be helpful, as were all the staff, and we felt really well looked after. We very quickly felt at home. The property is extremely well-kept. It is an ideal place to rest and relax in a very serene setting. My wife and I are bird watchers, and we saw the majority of Samoa's endemic birds around the lodge, including the thought to be extinct, Tooth-billed Pigeon.

What made the experience truly special was Lita, the exceptional host. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made us feel instantly at home. If you’re seeking peace, comfort, and nature wrapped into one unforgettable stay, Dave Eco Lodge is the place. We left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already planning our return.

Wonder of Nature! Great place to unwind and take in the stunning and fantastic views, the birds, forest and Malama's beautiful gardens. The staff were amazing, very friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. Service and food were good too. one of the highlights was the Sunday umu demonstration by Losi, Laa, Lili and Tusi, highly recommended. Huge thank you Lita, Malama, Dave and the team, we had a great stay and will definitely be back.

Dave Parker Lodge is an amazing place to stay. The scenery and views to the coast are spectacular. The staff are very friendly and helpful and meals good. Although we had trouble finding the place, it is really worth the visit.
