Fabulous relaxing stay at the beautiful Chocolate Gannets cottages. The view was superb and cottage was comfortably furnished with a beautiful double sided fire that was seen in the lounge and inside the lovely spa room. We would definitely recommend for a couples holiday. Even with another couple it would be comfortable as both bedrooms were well appointed. We absolutely loved the koalas living onsite above the villas and having the opportunity to gaze upon them in the wild was magical.

Returning again for a couple of days r&r from Melbourne. Impeccable presentation. The complementary fridge basics including eggs, milk, bread, preserves etc plus fresh fruit and juice are generous additions. All crockery utensils etc are to hand and high quality. Lili is a delightful host who will respond straightaway with phone requests but is not intrusive. The easy to light open fire with generous wood supply is a feature, particularly in winter evenings with crashing surf as a backdrop. Full A/C if needed. Linen and towels of the highest quality. Great location, with privacy and easy access to Apollo Bay. Do yourself a favour and stay.

Eine herausragende Unterkunft mit perfekter Lage und perfekten Blick aufs Meer ( Villa Nr. 2.) Alles ist sehr sauber, gepflegt und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Kontakt und der Service sind perfekt. Die Geräte im Haus sind in sehr guter Qualität und funktionieren. Unsere Villa hat einen Waschraum mit Waschmaschine und Trockner Bügeln ist möglich. Ein Gasgrill, Tiefkühler und großer Kühlschrank sind vorhanden.

I would say one of the better properties along the Great Ocean Road. We stayed here for 2 nights, we were too late for booking the seaview villa so we had the partial seaview. Which means seaview over the driveway looking past the villa in front of you from bedroom and spa bath. House is very spacious with 2 large bathrooms, a separate spa bathroom, separate laundry room, large terrace at the back with BBQ area overlooking their new garden and eucalyptus trees. The house has all the amenities you might want or need and they are all of good quality: nespresso machine with milk frother which I found fantastic. Big kitchen with lots of pans, cutlery, bowls etc and with oven, microwave, large induction cooker etc. Good fireplace that was easy to light up. Bathrooms had double shower heads, good water pressure and nice shower gel etc. Super comfy large bed. Also a supercomfy sofa in the living room. The only thing is there was carpet on the floor in the bedroom and we prefer tiles or wood which is easier to keep clean (underfloor heating for winter time) and the hardware on all windows and doors was old. Hard to open the windows in the 2nd bedroom, wobble doorknob on door to terrace. I thought the decor was a bit dated as well - tiles in bathroom, kitchen cabinets. The taps at the bathroom sinks were placed wrongly so whenever you sued the tap, half the water flowed behind the bowl instead of in the washbasin bowl. These were minor things though, highly recommend this place. Location is close to Apollo Bay and right on the Great Ocean Road, where you can walk to the beach by just crossing the road. Therefore it is nice and quiet except for the roar of the sea. They have eucalyptus trees as the back of the property and we were lucky enough to have 3 koala's relaxing in the trees. We were in villa 1 which definitely has the worst view - mostly of villa 2 in front of you. And when cars drive up the driveway, they have their headlights shining straight into your living area (there are good curtains though) Villa 2 and 4 are the full seaview ones and villa 3 is accessible for everyone but has a meadow with sheep next to the house (we had trees) and the living room and terrace has seaview. Loved our stay, super comfortable, great hosts, very responsive, easy check-in, great recommendations (WildLife Wonders tour was great)
