Great stay! Absolutely what you’d expect for a budget option in beautiful Apollo Bay. The woman at the front desk was lovely! We felt right at home.

I’m not sure why this property gets so many tens out of 10. Either people haven’t stayed a lot of hotels or their standards are very different. It is a basic hotel that meets basic needs. The rooms are adequate size. We stayed in room 15 which faces the street and as a result the configuration is slightly different because we had an extra window which causes some difficulty. For example, because they use curtains and not blinds the curtains flick over your head all night even if the windows closed which it is because it’s locked and can’t be opened and your head while trying to sit up and watch TV is resting on a windowsill also when you’re eating at breakfast the curtains flick over your bowl and cups easy solution get blinds. Some other issues other size of the vanity which is so small that the only way of putting a toiletries bag on the vanity is to put a towel in the sink and put the toiletries back in the sink. Towels are also on the wrong side of the bathroom. They should be on the shower side not above the toilet. Bathroom is extremely small. So when you look at these things not sure why it keeps getting turned out of 10. It’s basic. I would score an eight at the highest. Location wise it is two streets back from the main street so reasonably quiet and no real traffic noise at all. It’s an easy walk to the beach and restaurants and cafes within the street. There is no daily housekeeping. You can ask for extra towels take coffee etc.

We stayed for a night. The property was walking distance from the shops and restaurants, however, it was very overpriced for what it was. Room was tiny which would not have been a problem but it was very dirty. The fridge was mouldy, there was hair in the sink, and I had to clean the toilet seat.

Das Motel ist ruhig gelegen. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Küche war gut ausgestattet. Leider war das Geschirr nicht ganz sauber. Das ist wohl den Vorgängern geschuldet. Allerdings wird beim Reinigen der Zimmer da auch nicht drauf geachtet
