Great location and easy parking. Very nice couple and room was great. Have self serve washing and dryer too. Will return again.

Stayed a couple of nights at the boutique hotel which is hidden away in Apollo Bay, on the Great Ocean Road. The deal came with breakfast, which suited us and was plentiful, fresh Orange, Coffee, eggs, bacon, etc, pastries. The stayed in one of the terrace rooms, plenty of space, nice little private garden. Bed was comfortable, modern bathroom with shower only, separate toilet. Coffee, tea and milk supplied in the room, small fridge. Parking under shade right outside. Hotel 2 minutes walk from main Road, beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Ideal for short stays.

Stayed here while travelling the Great Ocean Road. Second time we had stayed here. Hotel is located a street back from the beach. Nice large room, with private patio area to sit out. Two easy chairs in the room for relaxing. Small kitchen area with fridge and toaster. Complementary biscuits and chocolate provided. Good size bathroom with walk-in shower and large bath. In room safe would have been useful. Hot breakfast cooked to order. Order was taken as soon as we went into dining room before we sat down. Cold options also available, although we had to ask for fruit to be topped up. Ownership was due to change hands a couple of weeks after we stayed there. Several restaurants in easy walking distance.

We really enjoyed our one night stopover while exploring the Great Ocean Road and would have liked to stay longer but our itinerary wouldn't allow it, This is a great mix, allowing for the independence of a hotel whilst also offering the personal touch of a B&B. On arrival we were greeted and provided with plenty of helpful information about local attractions and restaurants before being shown to our room. The room was really comfortable and had everything we needed: a well stocked minibar, kettle with tea and coffee, DVDs etc. We had a small private garden and an individual parking space. Breakfast was more than adequate: bacon and eggs cooked to order and a continental breakfast and cereals were also available for you to help yourself. I would certainly recommend Captain's at the Bay.
