阿靈頓威斯汀酒店(The Westin Arlington)

The city view was not what I expected. Overall, the stay was above average. No room service, but the meal I ate was exceptional, 5 stars😊. The room cleanliness was above average, got the feeling a quick run through to tidy up.

This Westin has lost a lot of its freshness. The carpets in the hallways have big dirty looking spill spots. Same thing inside the rooms. The beds are comfortable but the bathrooms show plenty of wear and tear with spit patching and caulking. If particular issue is that the bathrooms do not have exhaust fan. The staff is lovely and attentive. The location is great. I’d give it a 3 star.

We stayed for a week to do some sightseeing at the major tourist attractions, of course our plane was delayed from 5:35p and we didnt arrive until late in the evening 11p local time. When everything was situated we arrived to the hotel close to midnight, we get to the room and it had an odd unsettling odor. Dresser drawers wouldnt stay closed, closet doors fell off their tracks, bathroom toilet kept clogging up, and not sure why the shower water temp only had two water settings hot and hotter...after long days of walking around town we had no option to endure hot showers on the hottest humid days during our stay, which included a heat advisory. The A/C was of no help during the week, it felt humid in the room. Virginia and DC hospitality was on point its just for the price of the stay, it is an overreach for an older (almost historic) Westin establishment. The price could've included a continental breakfast or offered a restaurant voucher. Every meal (once a day) we paid for out on the town was anywhere from sixty to almost a hundred a day for two people. This review has NO reflection on the staff as they were welcoming and friendly and as helpful as they could be! Definitely enjoyed their hospitality and the hotel was close to nearby restaurants, laundromat, and other stores. Loved the security that you'd have to use your hotel card to go up in the elevator. The rooms themselves could use an upgrade, ie, remove the carpet

Checked in online the night before. Told them I would be there around 2pm. Waited until 2:45 to show up and even let them know I was on my way. Despite updating me that they didn’t have a room ready for me yet, at 3:40pm I finally got fed up and tried to check in in person where I was told, “oh, we don’t have your credit card on file so we couldn’t check you in, that’s why you don’t have a room number or digital key.” When I asked when they were planning on telling me this fact do I could have tried to check in an hour earlier, the front desk attendant became aggressive. Not a good experience at all. The hotel is dated and caters to large groups of children. But the food and bar were both nice and the room was comfortable.

Starting with a good note. Appy the young lady at the front desk was very helpful at my arrival, efficient and friendly. A rare gem. But the next days ( we stayed 3 nights) things went south 😤. The room was not serviced. I had expressly asked to have service and clean towels. Nothing! The safe didn’t work. The phone didn’t work. So I call the front desk and BRIAN, very rude person said he would put me on hold. I was tired and asked him don’t put me on hold, since I am using my personal phone to call the front desk, but I am IN THE ROOM. He said I have several customers in front of me and I don’t want the phone here ringing all the time. I told him it was not nice for me, I was tired, reporting a bunch of broken a hotel guest to be put on hold for HIS CONVENIENCE that doesn’t like the phone ringing. He just hang up on me. It’s not that I was asking for something, I was doing THEIR JOB, reporting things that weren’t working in the room. Nasty young men that treats an older lady in an abusive attitude. Should be fires IMO. I am a member of the Marriot BONVOY and I was very agravated. I will post this review everywhere I can.

The room was not ready on time, and after checking in (having waited an extra hour), I was locked out of the room (the data base showing it rented to someone else). The front desk trainee suggested I wait in the bar, which was 100 feet away and obviously closed for the night. The “complimentary” breakfast was $20 per person, parking $32 (or $38?) a night. The room was marginally acceptable, but for a total of $350 for one night it way over priced. There are lots of hotels in this area; I won’t stay in this one again.

The Lobby Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Great Kabob restaurant down the street!

The manager was very nasty didn't end up staying here took my money else where.. Don't recommend

A lot of noise at night from kids running through the hallways. This happened both evenings.
