Très belle demeure, beaucoup de verdure, très très bien situé (Maint Point Surf, restaurants), très propre, grandes chambres, literie au top, grandes SDB... Et un accueil exceptionnel de notre hôte Kannan qui a été d'une gentillesse et disponibilité incroyable. Il nous a briefé sur le premier jour de surf (reef présent à cette période) et nous a accompagné sur quelques escapades géniales.

Really recommend here! We stayed in a lovely room with all the right things we needed, and the host Kannan is so friendly, super accommodating and a brilliant host all round. This is the perfect place to stay if you visit Abay! Will definitely be coming back!

Me and my daughter (13y) stayed here for 6 nights. The rooms were the cleanest of our trip and 2 min walk from the surfspot babypoint. Kannan is the best surfteacher I met, his instructions were spot on, so we really got to improve our surfskills quick. Besides that he took us to a Tuktuk safari were we saw crocodiles, Peacocks, elephants, Buffalo’s, wild dogs, birds and wild rabbits. Kannan is a funny guy trustworthy and nice to hang out with. We absolutely loved this place and didn’t want to leave. ( Ps we are from the netherlands but i cannot change the country without loosing the review..)

We had an amazing stay at Drift! We would not stay at any other place then here in Arugam bay. Kannan the host is so friendly. Rooms are private clean and quiet. Very good location. Close to town and to the surf spot. AC is good and powerful wich is needed because it was really hot when we where there. We are so lucky we found this place!!!

My partner and I spent a week at Drift in May 2022. Cannot recommend it more highly! Kannan is the nicest guy, and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. For example, he helped us find a scooter rental and took us a town to find some odds and ends that we needed. Would never found them without his help and local knowledge. The rooms are super cute, have excellent storage (shelves ect.) well designed and EXTREMELY clean. In fact, the cleanest place I have stayed in Sri Lanka. Our room has excellent air-conditioning and a wonderful wall-mounted remote control fan. We never had any issues with the AC or the fan. Which is not always the case. Drift is well located, how about a five minute walk away from the main surfing point in about a 10 minute walk to town. I don’t give them any reviews but this place deserves one! 11 out of 10.

We had the best stay at Drift. The Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. There is everything you need, including a new A/C. In front of the rooms is a little terrasse with overview to the beautiful garden with mango trees and palms. Kannan is a wonderful host. He showed us everything in Arugam bay, gave super nice surflessons and organized us a super nice Safari and an airport shuttle. We felt directly at home and can only recommend the stay at this beautiful guesthouse. Plus an extra for the surfers is the short walking distance to Arugam Bay main point.

Kannan is the best surf teacher in Sri Lanka! You can’t be in better hands! He knows so much about surfing and you will learn so quick! Also he is very friendly, helpful and his English is great! He also organized a Jeep Safari for us! So glad we met him!
