We enjoyed our stay at the beach bungalows here. We came during off season and they cleaned the pool for us and we had the beachfront bungalow. The breakfast was really good! However, this hotel also operates a liquor store that runs 24/7 right in the middle of the guest rooms so at all hours of the day there were people walking through to buy alcohol (during breakfast time even) and then would sit down on the premises to consume their purchases. As two young travellers it was not a huge deal but if you are a family it might not be the space for you!

В целом хорошо. В большинстве номеров нет горячей воды. Wi-Fi не предоставляется. Рядом с морем. Чистый бассейн. Во время дождя течет крыша.

Отличное место для отдыха.Были дважды в июне и октябре(не сезон людей практически нет),но океан волшебный,волны небольшие. Рекомендую этот отель для тихого спокойного отдыха в несезон или для шумной компании, бассейн чистый,персонал отзывчивый,на территории можно купить пиво и др.алкоголь.отличное соотношение цены/качества.

Personale estremamente gentile e disponibile, siamo rimaste davvero colpite per la loro cura verso il cliente a qualunque ora del giorno e della notte. Colazione molto variegata e buonissima. Per quanto riguarda l alloggio avevamo il primo bungalow vista mare, molto bello come da foto. Non c è da aspettarsi una cura della struttura però per il prezzo pagato assolutamente valido! Per quanto riguarda il rumore avevamo dei vicini un po’ chiassosi ma non è colpa della struttura, ma solo della incivilita dell uomo soprattutto in vacanza!

Je ne vous recommande en aucun cas cet hôtel, qui n’en n’est d’ailleurs pas un selon moi. Tout, absolument tout était sale dans nos chambres (sol, toilette, salle de bain, draps, essuies de douche…). A part pour dormir, il nous était impossible de rester dans notre chambre tellement elle était sale et déplorable. En plus de tout ça, le responsable de l’hôtel était très désagréable voire insolent. Au petit-déjeuner, si vous choisissez de prendre un oeuf , vous n’avez pas droit aux fruits. C’est soit l’un soit l’autre et le patron vous le fait clairement comprendre avec irrespect. Nous étions 5 filles et pensons que son comportement aurait été différent si nous étions des hommes. Il était clairement macho. L’hôtel dispose d’une piscine mais qui est tres peu exposée au soleil. Il y a un accès direct sur la plage. A part ces deux choses, cet hôtel reste horrible et devrait penser à nettoyer ses chambres et à sourire avant d’accueillir des touristes. Pas besoin de vous dire de ne pas y aller.

Been there for one week. The hotel is situated directly on the beach. The hotel has all what it needs to have, if you want to spend holidays . I'll remember the great hospitality of all people working there. 24 hrs. a day somebody is there to hear what you may need. No waiting on a reception desk of bigger hotels. I can clearly recommend it.

Fantastic location ant the beach and the staff is super nice. The swimming pool, very clean and a few meters from the bungalow Bungalow itself is not luxury but it’s worth the money paid. And Arugam Bay is a very friendly and dynamic and with a nice atmosphere place to spend a few days with the family

What a great place to stay. Right on the beach / waterfront, you wake up with the sound of the waves. We booked one of the wooden cabins (Bay 2), which is facing the ocean and next to the swimming pool. The whole property is clean and taking care of by the staff. They switch of the outside lights at 22.00 so you can sleep without bright lights shining in your cabin. The staff is superfriendly, offering free coffee, tea or water whenever you want. Breakfast is made by order from a variety of choices on the menu and everything made fresh in the morning. This is one of the two places in Sri Lanka where I felt really welcome, which made our stay very nice.

The rooms were comfortable however the washrooms need to be updated as some rooms didn't have hot water and there was a bad odour . We had booked 4 rooms..and out of the 4 rooms two rooms had a bad smell in the toilets. Other than that it was fine and value for money. The staff was extremely hospitable and provided us with free fruit juices and coffee/tea . The breakfast was lovely. We had a good time and wished it was a little longer. It was just a one night. The location of the hotel is absolutely great. We will definitely go back.

We stayed in a pod and it was great value for money. It also had good AC. The pool was very nice as well, grounds around the site were always maintained to a high standard. The pillows were very comfy but the mattress you could feel the springs. I liked the veranda for sitting on a morning and evening. Also a kettle with coffee and tea would be a good addition for the room. Good location close to bars and restaurants, can be a bit noisey but on a weekend from music close by though. Would stay again! Thanks

We wanted to stay one night and on the end stayed 5 nights. What a little gem. We had a bungalow with seaview. The bungalow was very clean and spacious. Kovi the manager, was looking after his guests second to none, always checking that everything is to our satisfaction. The hotel is very well situated with direct access to the beach and close to the village. We highly can recommend this place.
