SG高級度假村

Zweimal waren wir innerhalb einer Woche im SG Premium Resort - wobei das "Premium" zumindest beim ersten Besuch mehr als schmeichelhaft war. Das Personal war gewiss freundlich, aber das war's dann auch. Wir hatten zwar ein großes Zimmer, mit Schreibtisch und Sitzgelegenheit, allerdings dunkel und nicht gerade sauber. Der Lichtschalter hing aus der Gerätedose, eine Nachttischlampe ging ebenfalls nicht, im Bad gab es nur zwei verschlissene Handtücher, das Essen im Restaurant mussten wir reklamieren: das "Filet" vom Rind war schlichtweg zäh. Ärgerlich, dass wir am Schluss unserer Safari wieder ins gleiche Hotel mussten. Aber vielleicht hatten meine deutlichen Worte geholfen, vielleicht war auch ein anderes Management verantwortlich, das Hotel war wie ausgewechselt: diesmal hatten wir ein helles und sauberes Zimmer, alle Schalter funktionierten, die Mitarbeiter nicht nur freundlich. sondern bemüht. Warum nicht gleich? Das SG Resort hatte während unseres Aufenthalts viele Gäste am Anfang oder Ende einer Safari - Tagesgäste, die Arbeit machen, aber bestenfalls nur zweimal vorbeikommen. Aber liebes SG Management, wollt Ihr wirklich "Me too" sein und Euch nur über einen niedrigen Preis und folglich höherem Gästevolumen und -umschlag definieren? Oder wäre die Kundenzufriedenheit und damit ein gutes Image nicht nachhaltiger?

This resort was booked and included as part of my safari and day trips with Suricata Safaris. The resort itself is fairly large and includes a pool, lounge, bar, and restaurant with the usual amenities of WiFi, room service, small shop, and more. The rooms were in need of some refurbishment but everything was operational and clean. My room included bottled water, coffee and tea, a large comfortable bed, private shower and washroom, tv, WiFi, safe, closet, air conditioning, and plenty of charging outlets. Breakfast was served daily from 0600-0800 and I usually had dinner around 1900. The bar was open at all hours and offered beers, wines, cocktails, and mixed drinks at a very reasonable price. The food at the restaurant was good and filling after long days hiking or trekking around the city. There was security at the entrance point of the resort, staff available at the front desk at all hours, a nearby gas station that had a secure ATM with guard (my MasterCard debit card did not work here, I needed to visit a physical branch just as a heads up) and snacks for purchase. This area was very safe and frequently utilized by the various tour providers of safaris so walking around was no issue. SG Premium Resort delivered as expected, a comfortable place to rest and fuel up in preparation for the days ahead.
