玫瑰皇冠大酒店(Rose & Crown Hotel)

Popped in for a quick drink as staying nearby Asked if they had non alcohol beer and we were sneered at by a guy behind the bar He had no clue and we couldn’t wait to leave the place What a shame as the surrounding area is lovely and this pub could be so much more

Food was excellent staff were very helpful lovely place can't wait to g9 back thank you all bed was very comfortable breakfast was brilliant as well so you can't fall it beer was lovely locals were friendly and helpful with things to do in the area

Stopped off for some food while passing through leyburn. Ordered the roast beef sunday lunch which was £15. Beef i'm sure was packet beef in gravy and was cold. The sole yorkshire pudding was a frozen one as im sure was the carrots and broccoli too. The mas was also nothing to shout about. Actually all reminded me of a frozen meal for one from a supermarket.

We booked dinner a week ago as it was within walking distance of our hotel. When we got to the pub all the signs were still out saying they served dinner every day. But it was shut. Never bothered to let us know. So beware. Our hotel said they had a bad reputation and recommended the pubs in Askrigg where we had a good meal.

Our family recently stayed here for the weekend and really enjoyed it. The staff were all friendly and helpful and nothing was a problem. The food was enjoyed by us all and the beer was spot on! The bedrooms could do with some updating but we were happy enough. The pub is ideal for exploring the beautiful dales.

We arrived just at closing time after a hectic drive up from Heathrow. Rob and William could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. William cooks an awsome breakfast from local produce. The place itself is not perfect but the people more than make up for its little "quirks" bearing in mind it is a very old building. Thank you Rob and William.

We went to this pub looking for somewhere to eat but when we went inside the place it was very tatty and not clean, which put us off ordering food. We ordered a couple of drinks but sadly the guy at the back of the bar was only interested in joking with the locals and virtually ignored us, when we eventually got our drinks we drunk them and left. In these days of hospitality difficulties this place needs to get their act together or face the consequences.

Rooms needed some TLC was noisy couldn’t help but hear karaoke til 1 am didn’t sleep well will not be going back

We was traveling in the camper van and thought we could pull over and have sone food, was. Lovely local and was made to feel welcome from them all. The staff couldn’t do more for us. We decided to stay for food. The cook Ben was really nice and friendly and all our food was DELISH and fab size portions. We waiting staff was efficient and helpful. Even getting us treats for the dogs and bringing the the toys the kids have left. We then went to sit in the snug which was a lovely cosy food. And plenty of room for 8 of us. Tony and the rest of the bar staff was fab. Everywhere clean and well priced. Defo worth a stop
