I cannot say enough about the kind, warm-hearted, consistently helpful, imaginative staff — led by Yassir — and the way they made me feel completely at home, despite hugely challenging circumstances. Lacking consistent state-provided electricity, the staff nonetheless make their hotel into a gorgeous, 100% positive experience. Using a backup generator (which might need a ventilation pipe), the staff made sure that the power was continuous. The hotel is beautiful, centrally-located, and elegant. The interiors — an 18th century Ottoman house — have been impeccably restored. They are gorgeous! Anything I needed was available 24/7. Breakfast was shockingly delicious and extensive. The bed was comfortable. The room was large. The shower was well-designed. Everything felt incredibly luxurious. They have plans for expansion of the upstairs veranda, as well. No detail has been missed in the 5-year restoration project — one that they completed in 2011, just in time to face a Civil War, a global pandemic, a resource blockade, a nearby earthquake, and an inflation crisis. How the staff and Yassir persevere, in spite of all this, is one of the great mysteries of my time in Syria. Knowledgeable about everything and genuinely kind, this is a business that deserves to survive and thrive.

My stay at Beit Zafran hotel in Damascus was amazing. Is was even better than I thought it would be. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made me feel like I was at home. I was very impressed with how hard they worked to make sure I had a great stay. The hotel is very beautiful and it is clear that they take pride in keeping it clean and well-maintained.

Here we go again in Syria with my friends. We stayed at (bait zafran hotel de charme), which is distinguished by its beauty, charm, and ancient heritage. The most I love is the beautiful fountain in the middle of the large square in addition to the quiet evening near it. I will never forget the fresh drinks in the mini-bar in the room. Too much love for the kind and expert staff.

We have stayed at this hotel for 3 days. It wasn't our first time and won't be our last. Every thing went smoothly. We stayed in room 8, which was clean and beautifully designed. My children stayed up late and had a wonderful evening on the beautiful terrace of the room with the soft music. Many thanks to the experienced staff who was always ready to make our stay excellent.

The rooms are clean and have amazing decorations, with an old Damascene design. The hotel staff was very responsive and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Iam sure it won't be my last visit.

Beautiful place, wonderful, and charming! I visited you once only and I didn't wish it to end, but I will never forget your striking beauty, the large fountain in the courtyard and the quiet evenings around it with having the fresh beer. I will always remember this hotel with much appreciation and love.
