I had a wonderful 2 night stay at Hestia - Asklipiou 61 in Athens. The apartment and facilities are so modern, the property was really easy to access. I did have to call the customer service and they were quick and very helpful. The rooms are gorgeous, super super super clean. The bed was comfy and aircon worked a treat! The view from my room looked over the church which is stunning (the bells are a bit loud but don't last long). The only issue I could foresee staying here is the noise, if you are a light sleeper you may struggle to sleep with the noise from the bars below - however, I put on some white noise and it was no issue for me. Highly highly recommend!
Very good apartment for family stay. staff very friendly, helpful and nice. Many pubs, bars and restaurants nearby. 1 Supermarket also close to the hotel. Walk to the main road for site-seeing bus about 6-10 minutes. Opposite has a gelato ice cream shop for 24 hours. Before the date when u check in, the staff will provide you the building and door entry password thought email, very easy! If you have anything need to contact staff, email them, they will answer you very fast, so no worries on everything. Pretty good!
FFauxkingphilOK so this hostel is awesome but it's a short walk away from the tourist areas. Here you will experience 'true athens' the local bars and food is so much better than you will get at the tourist traps. The locals are friendly and very much welcome, however the area may not be everyone's cuppa, it depends what you want I guess.. The hostel it self has great communal areas and such great staff, a very vibrant and social experience. Look out for their events and try the pizza... 👍🏻
I loved staying at this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for affordable yet great lodging in Athens. The staff was wonderful; they treated me like family and were consistently helpful, from giving me recommendations to calling cabs and even keeping my luggage while I went away for a couple of days. The hotel is located in an eclectic and vibrant neighborhood that is not overly touristy; yet it's walking distance from all the main sights. My room was very clean and confortable and you can enjoy breakfast (or your own food and drinks) on a cute terrace with a view of the Acropolis. I will DEFINITIVELY stay at this hotel again for my next visit to Athens. (It's at the top of a hill but taxis can take you there or, if you walk... the workout provides an additional reason to enjoy the delicious baklavas...)
