Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Midtown

It was spacious and clean but the only thing was it wouldn’t let us on the balcony in the room ,we didn’t have enough towel for 6 people,and the cable (tv and remote ) needed update,and the bathroom faucet was leaking.

We booked a king suite and arrived to find no mattress in the pull out sofa. Staff was unable to resolve and moved us to a double queen room with only a $20 credit for the issue. The excuse was that the other suite available also didn't have a mattress in the sofa. Why are you advertising and booking rooms as suites with a pull out bed if that isn't true?!

Our room had a leaking toilet. We were told we would get a new room. Never happened. The next day, Jada gave us a new room with no hesitation. No leaky toilet in new room but the fridge was warm and smelled. I'll definitely pass on this hotel next time.

First of all at check-in, we arrived at about 3:45 PM. We did not get into our room until 5:40 PM flying all the way from Oakland California coming to Atlanta for the first time very disappointing the attendant at the dash when we first got there was very rude. However, the house manager who stepped in. I cannot recall her name however, she did help us get into our rooms a little bit quicker. However, when we got into the room, there was a few pieces of furniture with ripped up pieces, the backboard of the chairs, very dirty, dingy. I walked out of my room and no more 57 feet from the door, and my entire sock foot was soaked, apparently there was some rain damage which you could see on the floor. There was a large portion of water damage to include standing water. I would imagine. Each time I use the house phone in the room to call the front desk I was transferred to somehow reservations, three different times , very disappointing I took my time in finding a hotel and unfortunately this one just didn’t hold the standards of what the online description of the hotel and staff pertaining to their website. I was told that I would hear from someone within 48 to 72 hours. I left Atlanta Saturday 28 October and now it’s now Friday. I am a single mother as there are many of us however, I spent money that I really didn’t have just spontaneously to do something for my 51st birthday so I’m very upset about it and the fact that I haven’t heard from no one steel that is upsetting.

We experienced some sketchy people outside, as well as many who seemed to be locals using this as a party location. Staff gave different parking prices to different people for the ramps and valet , almost trying to sway us to use valet. Rooms were in desperate need of renovations. For $100 and if you don’t mind the area, you get a spacious room. That’s about it.

The hotel staff , we talked with 3 different women at the front desk, each interaction they were rude , unfriendly, had no manners, and unhelpful. Could not check in at first had to come back. Could not get our car from valet o leave and Aaliyah could not have cared less. We had to go up stairs to The Crowne Plaza and Ogwa was fabulous. She went above and beyond to help us. Please let her supervisor know.

Checking in was horrible. No one at the front desk. After waiting 15 minutes, someone appeared. No "sorry to keep you waiting," or any other greeting. Barely looked up. While I was waiting (for about 15 minutes), the front desk phone rang constantly. The same woman who was processing my check in picked up the phone and hung it up without bothering to answer it. This woman should not be in customer service. The next day, there was a different person who was very nice at the front desk. The valet was also very nice. Another problem was that although I reserved a room with 2 queens, there was none so I had to take a king. Because this hotel is attached to the Crown Plaza hotel, trying to find the property was a nightmare. When I finally found the entrance to the lobby, there was no one outside or inside to ask. I wished I could have just cancelled and left but it was cold and windy so I left the car outside while I waited inside. Also, the windows in the room were not sealed very well and the wind whistled all night. This hotel needs a total renovation.
