Breakfast changed every morning a little bit. The hotel is nicely furnished. The room was really spacious however the wall were rather thin. The shower missed an extra space to put my own products. The corners were a bit dust and a towel had a small make up stain.

Valet service by Parking Management Company (PMC) at the Hampton Inn Austin Downtown caused visible side-swipe damage to my Escalade on Oct 11, 2025. They also left items in my vehicle that didn’t belong to me. The company denied responsibility after I left the property, so guests should inspect their vehicles carefully before driving off.

Not as good as past stays I have stayed at this location for several years for quick trips to Austin and have had some great experiences, but my latest trip felt like this hotel needs some definite upgrades and remodeling. Elevators are small and dingy and not all were working on my last stay. Just getting up to my room floor took 3x the normal time. Room bath towels are thin and worn, often smelling of smoke, the kind of towels you would expect to find at a motel 6. Bathrooms and showers are clean and modernized, but the rooms and carpeting need updating. Parking near this location is always a challenge, if you don’t wish to pay the $65 valet charge.

We picked up a rental car because we were traveling to Dallas for a wedding. We asked if we could park it in the garage for an hour while we got our things packed up and loaded and were told no. We had to check out in 2 hours anyways. Was disappointed they wouldn't accommodate our request. Otherwise everything was very nice
