金普頓酒店-範贊德(Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt)

This Hotel didn’t quite meet our hopes and expectations. It was good, but definitely not great. Over priced for what you get. Lobby is great, Geraldine’s was great, food, ambience, and live music were wonderful. However our room lacked luster for sure. Many things felt needed some maintenance. Room didn’t feel boutique or as upscale as the lobby. Great location of the hotel though. Probably won’t recommend or stay again unless much cheaper rooms we can find than what we paid this trip

600 USD/night. Shower has no pressure and water does not get hot. I am a frequent traveler and this was the first and last time I booked this hotel. Overrated and significantly overpriced.

Hotel and staff were great—property is just off Rainey St, which is super convenient, but rooms that face that street are noisy. We borrowed the hotel bicycles for a morning ride and explored the UT campus.

There is a lot of construction. It was challenging to get in and out. Also there were surprise resort fees of $65 per day plus $60 to park. We won’t ever stay there again

This hotel is our home away from home. We love hotel Van Zandt so very much. From the moment you pull into the valet, you are greeted with a warm welcome, and they are so fast at retrieving your car. They are absolutely amazing…ALL of them. Then the front desk is so kind and helpful and I just love the welcome sparkling water or beer. We always get a corner room and it’s just the best. We love all the amenities. Thank you for another wonderful stay. We’ll see you soon.

Absolute and complete rip-off. I checked in quite late on a night; firstly i have to say the gent that checked me in was very polite and the check in process was fine - i've seen a few other reviews from guests on here that say they were ignored, however this was not the case for myself. It is in the morning that everything went downhill.. Firstly, I was charged $9 for a bottle of water that was sat on the desk (not in the minibar, just on the desk). I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and i have never even once been charged for water in the room, ESPECIALLY not from a hotel that considers itself to be 4 star. I then went downstairs to check out and have breakfast, and the experience got worse - i was charged a $32 "amenity fee". I asked what this covered and was given a business card that explained it was for: - Use of the gym - Access to live music - Margaritas during happy hour When i explained i did not use any of these things i was just told it was a mandatory fee. Again, hundreds of hotels and not a single one has charged for use of the gym facilities or for sitting in their bar where you would be spending money anyway! If these service offerings are standard then they should be priced into the room fee, which i suspect they are already. I then went to their cafe, Cafe 605, for breakfast and placed my order at the till before sitting down - despite there being no other customers in the cafe they shouted me from across the room to go and grab my breakfas

They went above and beyond to make my bestie’s wedding night special! This hotel is such a gem in Austin and honestly the best!

1. We were unaware that there was construction on either side of the hotel with crews working early every week day morning. 2. King size room was nice, but the bathrobes are a rough material and not comfortable.No coffee or tea in rooms. 3. The staff was excellent, except for the front desk check out person on our last day, who was unwilling to waive the $30 late fee as we checked out at 12 noon and was not sympathetic to the fact that the music from the adjacent nightclubs was loud until after midnight. We were actually happy to pay the fee, but she was rather rude about it. We were there for our anniversary but I would go the the Fairmont or Hotel ZaZa or JW Marriott on our next visit.

The hotel is beautiful. Its location is great for those that like to bar hop and have a good time. The rooms are really nice and clean. The staff are amazing. I recommend staying here if you get the opportunity.
