Absolutely stunning property, wonderful host where literally nothing is too much trouble and where the standards match that of a hotel rather than a B&B. Beautiful room, great bathroom, comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast. I cannot praise this place enough. Home made jam, marmalade and honey available for breakfast. Everything modern, clean and top class. This is a brilliant place. Thanks so much.

Everything was perfect about our stay at Hale House. My husband and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It is in a great location, it has quiet and clean room and they serve a fabulous breakfast. The owner has thought of everything. I highly recommend this b and b.

Booked 1 night b@b was given a very warm welcome from Susanna ,exceptionally clean accommodation. Wonderfully comfortable bed had great nights sleep. Fantastic breakfast lots of choice went for cooked breakfast which used very good local produce .Also thoroughly recommend Susanna's home made jams.

We needed somewhere to stay whilst spending a few days in the Chilterns, this was a great choice. The house, which is an Eco house, was beautiful, the room was well heated, the bed very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing with lots of choice. The house is in easy walking distance of the village.

We visited Hale House this weekend just for one night but it is the best B&B we've stayed in. Everything about it is perfect. There is so much attention to detail in the room and all good quality furnishings. Mattress very comfortable too. The breakfast is superb. So much choice and all good quality ingredients. Susanna, the owner, makes her own preserves and honey. I can't recommend it enough.

My partner and I were looking for a reasonably priced location for an overnight stay while visiting friends locally. Susanna at Hale House provided exactly what we needed and was very welcoming. Her lovely home is in a quiet location yet an easy walk from the centre. It is exceptionally clean and very well appointed - with great attention to detail. We had a very comfortable stay. The breakfast next morning was simply superb, made of fresh, local produce. Very happy to recommend and next time would love to stay longer to explore the surroundings.

We don’t normally leave reviews as we both have busy lives,but Hale House deserves a first class review. Suzanna keeps a immaculate place to stay and is very welcoming. The property is in a very pleasant and peaceful location which is spotless. The breakfast was delicious in which Suzanna sources locally with no expense spared. 10 out 10

First time stay, we had to arrive later than planned and Suzanna could not have been more helpful and accommodating. She is by far and away the best host we've ever had the pleasure to stay with. The House is gorgeous, total house envy, Suzanna certainly has an eye for detail. The room was cosy and comfortable, the room had everything and more that you could need. The view from the room was stunning, the room had plenty of light and windows, the bed comfy, a separate seating area, lovely bathroom and a mini fridge fully stocked but we co-opted for local produce that otherwise we couldn't have bought as it wouldn't have kept overnight. So that was very helpful. The choice for breakfast was ample, we went for yoghurt, compote and fruit both mornings. The first morning as we had a heavy food day planned, the second because after you have her fresh fruit salad that's what you'll want day two. Some lovely walks on the doorstep, we took a 3 mile trundle on the second morning, Suzanna gave some great tips and a map to view for our planning. In easy reach of Wendover and you walk it pretty much all off road in picturesque surroundings, I was on Rightmove within the first walk into Wendover (a 15 min walk). Finally the garden that I presume Suzanna attends to, you'd not be surprised to see it on the front cover of Country Living magazine. Very insect friendly, purple flowers for all the pollinators, super green. Not accommodation related but other things we did and enjoyed: No2 Pound Street Cheese Couse Level 1, not too heavy going for people who like cheese and just fancy doing something different. They run many events, check their website if you plan a trip as you may be able to fit in one of these. The Chequers Inn - 6 Course tasting menu in a quaint country pub, the food is lovely and we thought reasonably priced for what you get. Note: they have a dress code and it's firmly upheld so just take a nosey and pack accordingly. (50 mins walk or 7 mins drive from Hale House)

Highly recommend Hale House. Great eco-friendly, luxury B&B. Everywhere is spotless, bed is super comfortable with luxury bedding. Premium drinks are available in a small fridge in the room with Fairtrade biscuits and lots of really nice teas and coffee. Great natural products in the bathroom and lots of really useful touches such as a dark flannel for make up removal, bamboo toilet tissue and a small make up bag with overnight essentials such as moisturiser, comb.and sanitary wear. Susannah, our host, cooked us a delicious breakfast with lots of special diet options and her homemade marmalade and jam is to die for. The country garden is a picture and the surrounding area is great for walkers. Overall a real gem.
