We arrived as the concierge was taking a phone call from another customer complaining and requesting a refund...not the best start. Our stay coincided with a friends birthday party in the function suite, she was told there was a special rate for those that booked direct with the hotel. Three phonecalls later and staff had no idea about it, so we booked on ********** instead as the rates going direct were significantly higher. We stayed in room 18, which has seen better days, cracks in the tiles and bath panel. In comparison to the lochside, this hotel is severely lacking and the bed and pillows fairly uncomfortable. That said, the room was clean. The biggest issue i had that night was with a member of barstaff, I used the hotel bar rather than the function suite as there was only one member of staff serving and i wanted cocktails. I gave my order to the staff member and they didnt appear to be very pleased, but made them, I then asked for a pina colada and they looked furious, i asked to pay and come back for it, they huffed and handed me the card reader. I can only guess they'd just cleaned the machine, but I know that i did not deserve that level of attitude. Later i returned to the bar for more cocktails, that same member of staff, left and then returned, when we asked if they were serving they replied "no, i told you that before i left" just very unprofessional. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone

We were kept waiting at check in while the person on reception finished typing an e-mail. No acknowledgement of our existence whatsoever. We had read other reviews which said 'avoid room 44'. Guess what room we were given ? We requested a change of room, and were given room 45, next door ! Comfy bed was a plus. Breakfast was adequate. I had stayed here before, many years ago, when it was the Marine Court. Then it was a classy, well run establishment. Today, it has the appearance of a tired old lady still trying her best, but the make up is failing to hide the signs of age. The dining/conservatory windows still have a large 'M' on them for Marine Court. This is not an establishment worth over £100 per night. Sorry to say this, but do yourself a favour and hit the local Travelodge !

Nice hotel, poor comfort and hygiene. I decided to spend a weekend in this hotel for my wedding anniversary. I had booked a double executive room. We get a room No.: 44 The accommodation: Our room had a view of the roof full of air ducts from the kitchen and swimming pool, from which constant noise and smell spread. I've been in the many hotels before, but here was smallest bed at all. (only a double), the hand shower in the bathroom did not work, there was mold in the corners of the shower. The Leisure center: The water in the pool had not been changed for at least a year, the color was cloudy, the floor around the pool was dirty and damaged, the hot tub was out of order, empty and the service worker told me that it had been broken for a long time. The showers, saunas and locker room were fine. Catering: We had a delicious dinner, on hot plates, the service was pleasant, prompt, but the cutlery was dirty with someone's fingerprints. after the complaint the staff immediately replaced it. It happened both evenings. We ordered hot breakfast, but it was brought to us already cold and dry. It was definitely pre-prepared at least 1 hour before serving. It happened both mornings. This hotel has invested in modernization, but in small details it is run-down and neglected. I will definitely not return here and I will not recommend it to my friends.

Soggiorno marino Hotel bello, in stile retrò/marino. Posizione magnifica vicino alla spiaggia di Ayr. La nostra camera (4persone) era divisa in due stanze ricavate in un cortile di servizio. Stanza principale confortevole ma un po’ umida, l’altra fredda e con un divano letto non troppo comodo.

Room photos do not reflect actual accomodation bed very hard and unconfortable meal portions small radiator in bathroom not working overall dissapointing stay

Only issue was our room and next door, decor etc really nice however both room floor boards creaking when walking over caused issues at night noise was intolerable which should be an easy fix as rest of our stay was five star
