Room was very modern and spotless. Staff were great. This was our first visit but we would definitely return.

Enjoyed a great two night stay while snowmobiling. Appreciated a free upgrade to a King bed in the main lodge. The warm pool and hot sauna were fantastic and spotless.

Rooms on the internet do not depict the room you will get. Ended with 60’s, 70’s decor. I could live that but the heater was broken, about 37 degrees f. Night Staff was great.

The staff upgraded our room without asking. James gave us good information before heasing to the cabot trail.

Website promotes resort very well, actual is very different. Very very run down and in desperate need of a make over. I felt it to be very dirty and heard a scratching u see my bed :( likely won’t return. Too bad as the grounds are very nice.

Great location and site. Grounds are awesome Rooms are rundown and basic There was a dirty towel left in bathroom too! Front staff not very helpful. Overall did not experience the renowned island hospitality with the front staff

The Baddeck area is beautiful and the resort grounds are beautiful but the rooms are not worth the money you pay for them. They havent been updated in years. Beds are not all that comfortable and the room itself just doesnt feel clean.

The property is beautiful. We used the pool (very clean) and the outdoor hot tub (desperately in need of cleaning). The staff is friendly, breakfast is delicious and included. The rooms are very dated but clean. I’d stay here again but would skip the hot tub.

The property is nice and in a beautiful location. Only downfall is certain buildings are updated and the ones that aren't drag this resort down a star in rating. I would stay again as long as I could book one of the updated rooms.

The location was beautiful. The welcome desk and bar area was updated and the staff were very nice. Overall, The property itself needed repairs including the outside space. The rooms need ( our room) to be updated. Our room had a foul odor to it. The furniture was old. The bathroom floor was sticky.

Complimentary Breakfast was AMAZING and fresh!! Gym-yuck... Pool - worn but did the job,

Very out dated - I think part of this property has been renovated but we stayed in the old section. It had everything we needed, comfy bed and pillows, clean but smelled bad (musty old carpet/upholstery?). Some plugs don’t work - the plug falls out. We had to move the coffee maker to the bathroom. Someone tried to break into our room in the middle of the night - they were fiddling with the key hole for a long time which woke us up and when we went to the door to say “hello” or “you have the wrong room” they took off running away. The property itself, design wise, is nice and well kept and unique (resort style). We booked via ******* and the photo was misleading (the nice renovated rooms of course!) and it was non refundable which was annoying. It suited our needs for being there briefly to run the relay but I wouldn’t want to go back and stay on vacation. Baddeck and Cape Breton in general are beautiful though!
