Fantastic view, Fantastic room. Fantastic food. Fantastic pool. The only drawback was the distance to the beach. Foreigners are charged $6 to access the closest one which takes 25 minutes to walk. The next closest is 8km. Bottom line is: I'd gladly stay here again.

Perfekt 6* wir hatten die Master Suite Br. 10 im Obergeschoss grosser Eckbalkon sehr gut ausgestattet Tisch 2 Stühle 2 Schaukelstühle Doppel Liegebett Grosses Zimmer alles nur perfekt ( kleiner Makel, die Küchenabluft vom Restaurant leider etwas laut) Aktivkohlenvilter wäre ideal) aber auf unserer 5 Wö CR Reise Top. Vielen Dank an Fam. Steiner, dass wir eine Zeit in Ihrem Juwel verbringen konnten. Pura Vida - wir kommen wieder.

Tolles Hotel, Mastersuite 10 mit MegaBalkon! Netter Empfang, gar ein wenig gelangweilt, toller Pool, Gute Küche alle 4 Abende vor Ort gegessen. Zimmer gut eingerichtet, aber sicherlich schon 20 Jahre alt. Bad sauber, aber auch hier nicht State of the Art. Tolle Lage und Ausgangspunkt für tägliche Ausflüge. Empfehlenswert

Das Hotel liegt traumhaft auf einer Anhöhe in einem großem Anwesen mit Blick aufs Meer. Wir hatten die Master Suite, die ebenfalls traumhaft ist. Der Investitionsstau, den andere Kommentatoren bemängelt hatten, ist ziemlich aufgelöst. Klar, etwas warmes Wasser in der Dusche wäre schön (wer braucht das schon bei dem Klima). Der altertümliche Look der Zimmer und des Hotels hat aber Charme. Klimaanlage ist neu und leise. Warum die Reinigungskräfte sie ausschalten ist eine gute Frage. Der große Pool mit 2.20 Tiefe ist super. Die Eltern der heutigen Besitzern haben die Anlage großzügig angelegt. Den Regenwaldpfad konnten wir leider wegen der Regenzeit nicht begehen. Am Eingang der Anlage ist ein verkommener TrimmDichPfad (sicherlich einzigartig in Costa Rica), dem man fast schon als Lost Place bezeichnen kann. Hier wäre etwas Pflege angebracht. Essen ist sehr gut, aber teuer - was typisch für Hotels dieser Preisklasse in Costa Rica ist. Wiener Schnitzel vom Schwein sollten die österreichen Besitzer nochmals überdenken :-) Die Anlage ist abends ziemlich dunkel. Etwas Licht zur Tierbeobachtung wäre schön. Alles schwarz, wenn man aus den Fenstern und dem Balkon schaut. Trotzdem jederzeit wieder, besonders im Mai wenn Nebensaison ist.

4 Sterne Plus oder 5 Sterne Minus - schwer zu entscheiden. Lage ist traumhaft. Master Suite ist traumhaft. Essen ist sehr gut (wir haben das Wiener Schnitzel nicht probiert :-) Pool mit 2.20m Tiefe - ein Traum. Ein Fitnesspfad aus dem letzen Jahrtausend, unbeschreiblich. Große Anlage mit Dschungelpfad (für uns zu nass, wegen dem Wetter). Warum das Minus: Ein Investitionsstau ist nicht zu übersehen, die Besitzerin ist etwas zu "bossy" (persönliches Empfinden).

Hôtel dans les hauteurs d’Uvita inséré dans la nature où on peu donc tôt le matin ou le soir y observer beaucoup d’oiseaux ( toucans, perroquets….etc ) . Très très beaux jardins avec une grande piscine . La restauration et le petit déjeuné sont en revanche très moyens et les chambres ont besoins d’un petit coup de jeune et le tout a des tarifs très élevés . Mieux vaut descendre juste en bas manger au bistro balzan ou la les prix sont normaux et la qualité au rendez vous .

Die Anlage scheint sehr gepflegt und ist gut organisiert.Personell wie auch strukturell.Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und extrem freundlich. Grosses Lob an das Küchenteam!Das Essen am Abend war immer super lecker!Das Frühstücksbuffet könnte abwechslungsreicher sein,war aber ok. Allen in allem war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gerechtfertigt. Sonnenuntergänge auf der Terasse unschlagbar! Wir würden wieder kommen!

Hemos estado un mes recorriendo Costa Rica. Cuando planificamos la zona de Uvita quisimos reservar este hotel, pero estaba completo. Pero las referencias eran magníficas y nos decidimos por un pase de un día, para almorzar, disfrutar de la piscina y contemplar la puesta de sol. Fue un día sencillamente perfecto. La atención de personal de 10. El almuerzo extraordinario, con buenos productos y mejor servicio. La piscina es una delicia. Y la puerta de sol, tomando una copa, desde la altura a la que está el hotel fue una de las bonitas de este viaje. Os recomiendo hospedaros en este hotel o contratar el pase de un día.

Nous avons passé deux nuits absolument parfaites dans ce grand hôtel. Nous préférons habituellement plutôt les hôtels à taille humaine, donc nous avons eu un peu d'appréhension en arrivant car cet hôtel est vaste. Mais justement on ne se sent pas les uns sur les autres. Notre chambre était très spacieuse, avec deux grands lits, salle de douche très propre, et un très grand balcon avec une vue océan pacifique juste parfaite. L'accueil a été très chaleureux. Tout le personnel est agréable que ce soit à l'accueil ou au restaurant. La piscine est grande avec une vue dégagée sur l'océan. On peut chaque soir assister un un magnifique couché de soleil en profitant de l'happy hour du bar.

We had a fantastic stay! The room was spacious, clean, and featured a large balcony with breathtaking views. The bed was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed right in the room. One of the highlights was the giant heated pool, which we were lucky to have all to ourselves, a true luxury! The kitchen staff was especially friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home throughout our stay. In the evening, we had a great time playing billiards and darts at the restaurant, it was a lot of fun! Cristal Ballena exceeded our expectations in every way — highly recommended for anyone visiting Uvita! We'll be back.

An oasis of calm in Uvita This hotel is in a beautiful setting between mountains and sea, 5 mins from town. Near to all activities. The staff were all lovely and went over and above for us, when we a medical issue with our daughter. The breakfast food was gorgeous & made to order. Rooms were generous clean and ours had a beautiful view. A very relaxed atmosphere & lovely pool also. Thoroughly recommend.

This is a very charming place with absolutely stunning grounds and a very large pool. Staff is attentive and very friendly, the restaurant offers very nice food and reasonable prices (compared to some other places we stayed at in Costa Rica). Some of the facilities may need some updating cosmetically, but that did not diminish our stay at all. The rooms were clean, very spacious and the views are enchanting. Really recommend this hotel - it is a relaxing, heart warming place.

Top notch place to stay in Uvita, Costa Rica My wife and I travelled to Uvita for our daughters wedding Getting to this location was challenging, 6am flight from PHL to Mia Mia to San Jose Costa Rica and the... small plane on Sansa a local carrier on a 20 minute flight that was delayed four times and more than three hours to Quepos which was an hour from the hotel. You could rent a car as our other daughter did for a 3 1/2 hour drive that turned into 7 1/2 hours When we got to the hotel it was pitch dark on the roads and beautiful ambient lighting at the hotel which we were too tired to appreciate. We had a lite meal at the restaurant which is next to the beautifully lit pool an then off to bed, The next morning we went back to the restaurant for a delightful buffet breakfast which is included for all guests daily The staff is great, the ambiance of the hotel is terrific The grounds are fantastic with Toucans and other exotic birds flying about and singing My wife and I met the owner, Angelica, as we were dining at the table next to her and she was delightful Our two daughters stayed at two other hotels within 10-15 minutes of this one. WE visited both an resolutely I can say this was by far the best. We strongly recommend this property

really enjoyed this place. breathtaking view of the pacific. Big garden and pool right on the edge with the view rooms are big and comfy nice balcony and great breakfast don't miss the hike in the area with birds and lush nature very close to town and parks
