We had a 1king + 2queen bed suite for a family of 5. The room is very clean and spacious. The hotel has a nice outdoor pool which the kids love. It is also close to several restaurants. IHop was an 8 min walk. We love it and will definitely book again.

The riom is very clean, and comfortable, and no smoking as well as pets are not allowed, so the air in the room is fresh. But the ice machine is out of function.

Be careful about rates. This hotel will charge you $50 per person extra if you have more than 2 people. The booking websites won’t show you this. The IHG website will show this but it looks like other IHG hotels in the area won’t and I know other brands won’t. I’ve never had a hotel charge extra for 4 people in a two queen bed. I’d choose another hotel.

Booked a single King on the road through the IHG app. Arrived and was told no single King was available. Asked if I would be OK with a double queen room instead. Before I reached my room. Via my credit card notification, I realized the persons at the front desk had up charged me to the double queen price. Immediately returned to the front desk and was told they could not honor the original price that I had booked on the app. Canceled my reservation on the spot. After 5 days I at least finally got my refund. Dear IHG, your app should not allow reservations for rooms you do not have available. If it happens you should at least honor the original price if you change up rooms. Just a poor customer experience overall.

This is a pretty new hotel. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was helpful - I had driven over 10 hours to get there and was a bit forgetful checking in but they got me through it. The hotel is across the street from a good brewery with great food. Just what I needed to rest up for another day of travel.

Great stay, quiet comfortable room. Nice Massage chair in the lobby as well ! Stayed in quite a few hotels over the last month and very few seem to acknowledge member status anymore. However, this place was the exception, Betty at the Front Desk acknowledged our status a couple of times. It showed she cared that we stay at IHG properties a lot ! Not really a status guy but when she thanked us for being a Platinum member I realized that she was probably the first one to actually say it. Thanks Betty !! The hotel is in nice condition, we had great parking ( it gets gated at night, kind of) our room was clean, really quiet and quite large. We'd stay here again if in the area.

The water pressure was very low in the bathroom. The windows were so dirty, we couldn’t see out of them. My daughter lived the indoor gym except she said there were no cleaning wipes for the equipment. The staff were very nice and attentive!!! The room was very clean except for the windows.

Worst experience ever at a hotel. Rude and condescending receptionist who didn't allow us to check in. Had to find a new hotel last minute late at night.

We stayed at Holiday Inn on Marriott Dr in Bakersfield, California.. We used points for a reward night. We got a room basically stripped of needed items. We had no refrigerator, no microwave (though they did bring one up at our request); no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash; no hairdryer; no laundry bag; the lamps beside the bed had a place to plug in a charger plug, but the plug did not fit so that feature was useless (and we had to move bedside tables to locate plugs); stained carpet; not even a pen/piece of paper to jot notes. But there were two telephones! Now, this I contrast with our stay last night at a Holiday Inn in Ukiah, California. It, too was a rewards night. We had an immaculate room with absolutely everything we needed, just as if it was the most expensive room in the hotel.

Only a one night stop while traveling but the room was spacious and comfortable. Access was good with lots of parking. Morning coffee in room. Didn't try the breakfast but appears to have a good serving area with multiple options. Staff was friendly and courteous.

We found the Holiday Inn in Bakersfield CA wonderful because it had restaurants. The room was nice. We found the servers delightful and charming and professional. The barman made very sweet martinis, which was not to our liking. We sat at the bar and had dinner. My wife had a chicken sandwich and I had ham and cheese sandwich. We also had breakfast on the way out. I had scrambled eggs and bacon and sausage.

We stayed here on a planned trip home. We stayed using our Holiday Inn Rewards. As usual, we were given a less desirable room. The room was on the 2nd floor and the window overlooked a walled-off rooftop that contained A/C units. There was no view at all. The lamp next to the couch didn't turn on. I finally figured out that it was unplugged and pulled out the couch to access the outlet. And when we went to use the refrigerator, it was warm and not working. We were very disappointed in the room and it was by far the worst HIE we stayed at on this trip. We stayed at 7 properties total. The property is under remodel, but we were told that the rooms were all completed. The bathroom was modern, and the pillows were perfect. The breakfast did include a Belgium waffle maker which is rare at any HIE anymore. So, I did enjoy that. And the girl at the front desk was super friendly. The final observation we made was that the pictures shown of the hotel do not show the spiked fence that surrounds the property. They have padlocked the 2 pedestrian gate entries off of the sidewalk along with one of the car entries. There is only one way to get into the property. It made us wonder about the safety of the area. Also, there is no crosswalk to get across to the other side of a 4-lane highway which is where most of the entertainment and restaurants are. You need to walk a block in either direction to access a light to safely cross.
