Visited 15th May first visit on holiday. Bar maid very welcoming. Food was being served afternoon.Sat at outside tables at back of pub.We ordered venison pate with salad coleslaw a lovely chutney. Such a tasty pate with a peppery kick or chilly. Well complimented with the chutney. Not the usual fatty pate Lots of other reasonably priced items we could have chosen. We got plenty of toasted baguette and butter for the generous portion of pate. Beer and wine reasonably priced and we had a lovely time in the sun. We will be back.

Lovely friendly welcome. Ordered breakfast and very accommodating with the hubbies Gluten free. Couldn’t wish for better as they cooked my bacon as I like it, crispy. Very hot food too which seems to be rare in some places now Highly recommend this restaurant/pub/hotel 5*

Really poor quality accommodation. Old fashioned, poor quality of fixtures and fittings. Really outdated property. Won’t stay here again

My single room was absolutely fine and as expected. Basic and clean. Check in was simple and parking was available on the street outside. Unfortunately the room was quite cold. I could feel a massive temperature difference when walking from the 1st to 2nd floor. The shower was also uncomfortably cold. For one night and the price I could have accepted this but the noise at night was really bad. Music, singing and shouting from a nearby pub went on until the early hours and kept me awake until it stopped sometime after 1am. I needed to be up early and this really affected my day. I think people need to be informed that there are nearby late night venues and that there may be noise when booking as I would not have chosen this hotel due to that reason.

Seriously need to update their website. Checked out online and found an agreeable establishment with a very wide ranging menu which catered for my husband's dietary needs. Huge, bright red pub on Bala main street. But we couldn't find it as the whole frontage has been stripped back and was covered in scaffolding. Asked if they were cooking and read the menu. Nothing like what was online, very brief. My plea is, if you are going to have a website, keep it updated to warn people. I understand it is a refurb etc, but put it on your website! We were going to book a room for the night, I would have been furious with them if we had.

Hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The full English breakfast wasn’t as goo as it could of been

The place is run down and really needs updating the reception area looked like a bomb site with rubbish and boxes all over the place. We couldn't make a hot drink as when we boiled the kettle there was black bits inside it and the kettle it's self was black. The room it's self smell and we couldn't even lock the toilet door. We definitely won't be going there again

Ended up in here on the Sunday of August Bank holiday, were suprised to find they were still serving food. Our friends said the place had recently ungone a refurbishment but we've never been in previously. Ordered food and drink, service was great. Food arrived promptly and was great, portion sizes good and priced ok. Would def visit again for food !

Excellent value, good quality budget hotel with friendly service and great food. Very clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff and management. Right in the town centre and 2mins walk from the lake. Quiet and peaceful

To be fair we couldn’t complain about the cleanliness nor the friendliness of staff but the place is FAR too tired and dated. We got up at 7.25 this morning and out the door by 8.45. Sorry but this will be our first and last visit

I stayed with a group on a cycling trip across Wales. The service at the Plas Coch was outstanding and all the staff were so friendly. Siwan could not do enough to help us. We had a late lunch when we arrived and the food was fabulous. One of the highlights of our time in Wales.

Super clean hotel. Comfortable stay. Lovely breakfasts. Owner friendly. Nice room

Don’t go to this pub unless you are Welsh, seems unless your from here you won’t be welcome. Disgraceful. Locals don’t seem to accept anyone who was born outside of here. Expected more in 2023. I’d avoid this place like the plague.
